How about that Bont/FOS comparison from Fox Footy. Bont is only 12cm taller...
Thought that was odd lol

Weirdly enough i have heard him compared to Bont before, quite a while ago.....there must be something in it.How about that Bont/FOS comparison from Fox Footy. Bont is only 12cm taller...
With Duursma, Tauru, Trainor and Ford, we would have our swing-third talls stitched up for the next ten years.I'd like Trainor in the mix

Let's f*n do it!!!
Melbourne’s 9 is probably the most lose-lose situation for both clubs so would be the most balanced trade.Which means nothing if there's a major talent gap.
1 year of an 18 year old Josh Gibcus wouldn't have made up for Harry Sheezel, would it?
There's a point we absolutely should not trade that pick, it's around Pick 10 as a single pick and no less than 2 picks in the top 20.
I know it’s a steep price but if Tauru is there at Dees second would F1+F2 be too steep?i think the highest available pick for our f1 will be saints pick 8
but their preference is to split in this draft, if they can't then we become a serious option with our f1
after that its tigers 10/11
and if that all fails just trade in our f2 grab a kpf
way too steepI know it’s a steep price but if Tauru is there at Dees second would F1+F2 be too steep?
couldn't have said it any better.way too steep
F1 for saints pick 8
or dees pick 9
or tigs pick 10/11
otherwise hold and trade in f2 for a second round kpf
I don't think we'll see any club getting that sort of value for their future firsts in this draft. Clubs are just gaga about this year's first round and we've seen a trend that clubs are very happy to knock back future picks when they've got someone they like in their sights, like when Adelaide refused what turned out to be pick 3 this year from West Coast when Curtin was available.way too steep

Tigers are the only realistic option here. Melb gave up their future 1st and 5 picks in this draft to get to pick 9. No way would they give it up.way too steep
F1 for saints pick 8

or tigs pick 10/11

In this link - 15min markgiantroo know of any way those of us who had 9am meetings can listen to the full Thursfield chat?
I agree tiges will be the only ones trading picks out of the first round. No chance it’s pick 6, small chance it’s 10 or 11.I can only really see Richmond as the team to bite on our F1.
Others will want to hold their picks in this draft.
GWS maybe an option, but I think they use their picks.
The question is what will Richmond take for our F1?
Obviously it will all depend on who is still on the board, who we want & who Richmond want/have already drafted.
If Tigs get 3 guys they wanted with 1,6 & 10 & think their next guy might still be there at 18, then 11 is the most likely swap for me.
Also wouldn’t be surprised if we done it for 18 & 23/24 if players we want are still on the board
Agreed, and that point might be at Saints pick 8.Probably repeating myself or others but trading our F1 would only happen during the draft. For example - Melb not thrilled about who is on the board at 9, we are = trade happens.
Feels like 11 would be the best we could hope for.I agree tiges will be the only ones trading picks out of the first round. No chance it’s pick 6, small chance it’s 10 or 11.
I don’t think we will get value for our f1 if we do trade it.
Welcome back.couldn't have said it any better.
use the f2 to take ofarrel
Sadly our boss got engaged so we had to hear all about it.Whoever scheduled a meeting for 9.00 Monday morning needs a serious talking to. Don't they know Monday morning is for checking emails and catching up on 648 pages of Big Footy.
90% chance we are giving up a top 4 pick for pick 11. Makes me feel sick.Feels like 11 would be the best we could hope for.

Hope so much that we don't somehow trade and get tauru? If we land FO'S at #2 it'll be shades of LDU at #4 all those year's back.
Hope like crazy he's wearing blue and white next year.
Pick 4 next year might be pick 8-ish by the sounds of things, with all of the academy players. Then if you add the interest of getting it 12 months early then it's not too bad.90% chance we are giving up a top 4 pick for pick 11. Makes me feel sick.
I think it’s next to impossible for a 3 way pick swap on draft night. It would have to be agreed to beforehand and trust the other teams don’t stitch you up.8 to north
F1 to gws
X2 picks to saints
Thoughts? Obviously can't t remember what gws have
It's risky for sure but the potential for greatness is there for Tauru. He could be the best of the class - sort of like Curnow as a forward.Hope so much that we don't somehow trade and get tauru?
