Saints can get their gun mid next year they are looking for by giving us pick 8 for our f1
even better, they get it now by giving us 7 and 8 for 2
apparently they don't want next years F1 (I don't wanna give it up either) -> haven't you heard, this years draft is better than next year. It's a super draft

I hope we don’t use pick 2 on the Viking, would be silly. Don’t get sucked in, take FOS and finish the midfield. Trade a future first for 5-10 pick this year and take a need Armstrong/Viking.
yes except shanahan >armstrong

seems cal has cottoned on to that also and has jobe going ahead

100%…..F1 wouldn’t net us a 5-10 pick this year tho.

I’m sure they will try for something decent if a player we wants there. We will have to pay overs tho simple as that

Absolute gold!
Can hear the tears hitting the keyboard. Wanka.

If things don't fall the way we are all hoping, I am choosing to blame North. Not Dougs, not Higgins. Not SOS or Gubby. North bloody Melbourne!

Paying pick 25 for a 29yo Caleb f****ng Daniel left them with zero currency to maneuver. Who's level 3 brain explosion was that??? That one decision left them to either overreach, or miss out on the type of players they NEED to actually be competitive in a game of football sometime this decade!

Ignoring Larkey (poor bugger), that rabble is going into 2025 with a KPP list of Cam "2 good games a year" Zurhaar, 19yo Zane Dursmaa, Callum "Richmond discard" Coleman-Jones, Aiden "please don't kick the ball" Corr, Griffen Logue off an ACL and an extremely washed Jack Darling.

Instead, they could have maneuvered picks 2 and 25 into 3 or likely even 4 picks between 6 and 30. Walked away with some combination of Tauru, Shanahan, Armstrong, Trainor and / or one or both Whitlocks. And with their F1 still intact!

Instead they get 1 gun mid, Jack Darling padding his superannuation and a midget to run around at half back.

Picks 3, 9, 14 were all on the table. Three clubs held multiple picks in the top 10. Another two have multiple picks in the teens. About half the AFL did pick swaps in or out of the first round, and they missed the boat on all of it!

Noooo. Lets wait until draft night. Maybe we can get 2 future 3rd rounders from Adelaide. That will really accelerate the rebuild!

If that was my club, I would be wanting heads to roll. In the most even draft this century, stacked with mids at the front end, what the actual f**k are they still doing with pick 2???????

Incompetent p**ks!
Jesus that has to be the biggest melt I've seen since that other Tuggers nuffie on the radio who threw up on himself!

Opinions have never been more like arseholes.
Back in the day, people mostly kept their opinions as well as their arseholes private. For some reason, these days, too many people seem to think everyone else wants to see their arseh*le. We don't. And same goes for their opinions.

I know they are all bleating that we can't use our F1 for a top 10.......but, and I'm projecting here, if we stand firm on our pick 2 demands, it actually shows what those top couple of picks are really worth. Another club should really be gagging to get a chance at a top 2-3-4 chance next year....at the cost of pick 8-9-10? Stratosphere's of difference in those 2 tiers.....Get up the top, if you can, would be my thoughts.

Again, all hypothetical, but the TigTok'rs thinking they could force/cajole/bully us into 10+18/20/23 for pick 2 because all their minions are proclaiming it a "SUPA-DWAFT". Doesn't matter what the draft is........the top end is the top end.

Just hold firm Brady and Will....stay the course.

I mean I agree with ya….but I think most would be happy with there place this year……
Barring the “saints” who dont seem happy about anything. Would actually be gold if they traded us pick 8 for a F1. Let’s hope just for the melts. That would be a fun reverse pick ride

He sure was. That doesn't change the year he just had. Alarm bells for me, looks like a lack of professionalism/desire. I don't think there's a chance Richmond gamble on him at one, so up to us. We absolutely can not afford another first round bust.
I think JY has just found his insurance plan for post-WillPhil.

I know there's been a ton of conjecture about what you guys might do with 2 for ages. It seems like you're settled into FOS now but considering your list needs, if GWS offered 18, 19, and 24 for 2, would you take it? You could pretty much finish off your list build by taking range of talls in this spot. If the options turned out to be:

Whitlock x 2 and Faull/Trainor vs O'Sullivan. What benefits the team more?

It’s easy to envy Richmond their picks but all that dissolves when you look at their list.

22 and under they have: M. Rioli. T Sonsie and J. Gibcus.

We have: Sheezel, Wardlaw, McKercher, Duursma, Hardeman, Goater, George, W. Dawson, Archer, Goad, Powell and Ford.

If you go up to 25 they also have Balta and Koschitzke, we add Comben, Xerri and LDU.

Meanwhile they have Lynch 32, Prestia 32, Broad 31, Vlaustin 30 and Nankervis 30. We have the guys we brought in plus Corr at 30 and McDonald at 29. Hopper is just a little younger than Daniel. Taranto is the same age as Simpkin.

Suddenly it’s great to see how much talent won’t be going to competitive clubs.

As long as our coaching and development continue to stabilise and improve we'll have a perennial top 6 team for most of these guys' careers
