The concussions are great concern.

Avoid him like our drafting lives depend on it. His family are rusted on North, anyway.

Just so you know, Saints are not going to be trading away 7 & 8, especially not for future picks. SOS loves this draft and wants in, not out. He has other plans next year. Lyon and Misson have been consistently on message in this regard publicly. We might possibly split 8 for later stuff depending but we'll only part with 7 for an earlier pick.

Came in peace, but just letting you know now to prevent you wasting your time thinking of viable trade options.

By the way, I don't think any other clubs want to trade out of this draft that haven't already, but those that want to will have queues of suitors.

I know I personally can't wait for you to take two turnips with your top 10 selections. It's wonderful that you're so high.

I don't think there's a team in the comp further away from glory, to be fair. Whilst you're not terrible like us, you're stuck in mid-table madness like we were for nearly a decade. Enjoy maybe making finals.

I do enjoy the certainty surrounding what clubs will and won't do posted on internet chat forums.

Incredible stuff. What is said at the dinner table is not actually reality, no matter how smart your Dad is!

Kinda handy being small if you're a small forward. We just traded in an all Australian that's a couple of inches smaller than River. Wizard Watson goes ok and he's even smaller. I'm not saying that he'll make it, I just can't stand the parochial nature of not wanting us to get him and at the same time hanging it on Brady for not cat b'ing another Eric Wallace or Red Og (rip). It just doesn't make sense.
Its not that he’s short, he’s ****ing small. He is a tiny human being. He is a drovers dog, he’s just dick and bones. One contest and he’ll be flattened.

Cat b don’t count towards list numbers

If he were a cat b I’d take him as that list spot is less valuable and we have 3 vacancies there

I don’t think he’s good enough to even warrant a rookie spot, list spots are tight also so I can’t see us wasting one on him

He is on the bus until the end of his contract. He wants to see how the bus driver drives before staying on. In recent times the driver seems to have been heavily intoxicated. Hopefully he can sober up.

Hypothetical - say Ldu goes and Will gets delisted or traded (he is on a one year extension) we’re down two mids with development.

Plus injury clouds over our other captain in terms on weekly inclusions.

Are you sure we can take the risk letting a Draper, Lalor, fos go?

We have Wardlaw, Sheezel, McKercher, Powell + assistance from Parker. Do we all feel confident with that?
Split 2 (+2025 second rounder) for two first (one in top 10). Pick up the drifting mid (Langford, Smillie, MReid) + a top rated KPF.

i think that was the point of it.
That and ensuring his actual club picked the players he wanted. Richmond did very well out of it!!

Richmond also have a lot of supporters who aren't quite all there. I mean good AFL fans, always seem to get good seats for games (i'm talking AFL members) but you wouldn't leave your kids alone around them.

A bit drastic to say LDU not signing has thrown a ‘spanner in the works.’ He hasn’t even entered the final year of his contract.

If he had of committed we definitely go for talls this year.

Not knowing could leave us a bit thin in the midfield should he leave next year.

A bit disappointing considering he had a few tough years when he first arrived and the club stuck by him.

Can't believe Stevo's son is being canned for being small, his old man was never the biggest gorilla on the field, and handled himself beautifully, it aint the size of the dog in the fight
Yep Darcy Jones or Harvey Thomas at GWS are skinny little Auskickers, but they get after it.

They both have a lot more pace

because I don’t think he is going to get drafted there’s no harm letting him play vfl next year somewhere if not with our vfl side and then reconsider for father son next year

Im wondering if Richmond wont give 6 -10/11 for 2 understandably not likely they would prefer to fatten with teen picks......would they give 6 for F1

Then we give Pick 2 & F2 to GWS for 15 & 16 & F1

Losing Pick 2, F1 & F2
Gaining 6-15-16 GWS F1

We lose some capital but get selections right where we want them + GWS F1

Another not bad option. Reckon there’s plenty going on. Excellent Rooboy53

Can anyone think of a recent draftee that has modelled themselves on a North Melbourne player? Our players always are seemingly looked over when it comes to role models..

Sure they have more pace, but they are still lightly framed and compete.
River is worth a rookie spot or VFL at worst. He's competitive, good endurance runner and ball user.
We'll see if Cats know a bit more about him and look at him with 57 or 75.
