Cal Twomey said it’s Jagga, The Age and Herald Sun say it’s Jagga, other draft experts have said Jagga, Forty3 posted last night it’s Jagga we want and for what it’s worth Andy Maher said on SEN earlier he was told it’s Jagga who we want.

So I believe it’s Jagga … 2 and half hours to go!!!

Draper fans be like:

Plenty of footballers in Jagga's position have squandered the year off, it says a lot about his character that he went to those lengths. For instance, Cripps finished last in the 2km trial at the combine, after a year on the uni diet. Even though that worked out well for us, some clubs put a line through him after that, and there's others who have tumbled down the draft order after graduating early. It's highly probable that his training regime did give him an on-field advantage over his peers, however, I would contend that his high self-discipline is an advantage he will enjoy over most of his peers for the duration of his career. In some respects, you could make the claim that he was at a disadvantage by playing with a physically less developed body. I look forward to seeing what he can do when he adds a few more kg's of muscle to his frame, guys like FOS, Draper and Langford are more ready to go in that regard.

And let’s not forget about BargeArse. He also finished last in the 2km trial at the combine after a year on the pizza 🍕 diet. And look where he is now!

80% it is talent. Plenty of players made it in our 2016-2022 culture. None of them have made it big at other clubs.

Think everyone has oodles of talent if they make it this far.

Difference is in the professionalism and the mechanisms in place at each club to extract that extra 10 to 20%

Clubs like Sydney and Geelong have transformed talent into production for years and shown you don't need the most talent if you work to become a cog in the machine

Plenty of ours have made it as you say but we have a higher rate of spectacular fails than the top clubs and that's for a reason.

Culture and professionalism is vital for continuous improvement..

My theory is for Crows:
Trade up to 2 is Jagga
Stay at 4 is Langford
Trade down to 6 is Draper

No trades happen if Tigers go Lalor, North go FOS, so here's hoping North throw a spanner in the works and take Tauru

My preference is Langford but all 3 will be guns, both getting a quality player here!
Don’t lie your dying to pick the local pin up boy as I am

I finished school at 17. All I did the next year was flunk uni and stay up at night chatting on MIRC...

I mean, who could have guessed that an immature and precocious kid whose favourite film was/is Ferris Bueller's Day Off wouldn't make the leap to professionalism and dedication?!?!

ASL?

What if North bid for Ben Camporeale at 2?

I have no doubt probably by year 3/4 we can lock it in Jagga will be a 25-30 possession player every week and does have nice clean hands in tight and will be a perennial top 5 best and fairest finisher throughout his career.

There are some massive concerns about his ball use though to my eye his kicking is a little overrated he struggles to kick further than 40 meters unless he has the breeze at his back, he looks a solid safe kick over 15-20 meters but there is a lot of sideways Matt Crouch crab like action in the way he plays and has no real penetration with his kicking. I’m probably nitpicking a bit but if you have a 50 possession game as a midfielder who has a clear fitness and work ethic advantage over the opposition but only 4 inside 50s there is an issue with your ball use.

Jagga’s work ethic is outstanding and I still would rate him top 10 however I wouldn’t be using a top 3 pick on him, with Lalor and O’Sullivan are probably gone at 1-2 personally I’d be favouring the point of difference that either Langford or Draper bring Langford with his contest and ability in the air and Draper with his speed and aggression.
Like Matt Crouch?
Surely you jest..
Crouch is a slow ,get it then give off as he gets tackled accumulator
Young Jagga is quick, evasive , get it , give off or hit someone then quickly become another option gun
Nothing alike..
We need speed in body and speed in delivery
Jagga has both in spades

Broadcast starts at 7pm, do we know what time the picks start? They normally faff around for a bit beforehand. I’m like a kid on Christmas morning!
The Afl will get there thousand ads in that's for sure like trade period we all have to constantly listen to ads for 2 whole wks
