Interesting choice, Harrys profile reads pretty well, tied with Hannaford who i rated for the B&F which is solid and increased his output considerably from his bottom age year to his top age year.

I am surprised we went with a defender as i feel we have just locked in a few players who can play that role and have good depth in that area, yet i dont feel we have many options in terms of small forwards.

Ill back in the LM team here but i hope that out of our 4 train on spots we use them to trial a few players we haven’t seen or dont know much about, we know Carrol and Durdin, we dont need to include them in the 4, trial a few small/half forwards.

I still think we go for DGB and McMahon but at least have a look at some smalls.

Got to say, feel sorry for the kids who dont get drafted who are there or there abouts

Absolutely brutal

Hope they have plans for themselves beyond having a football career
Makes me sick hearing all of those veteran players getting relisted instead of a young lad getting a chance to live their dream. Hopefully they'll make a new rule to stop that.

Really hope we go with McMahon and DGB/Phillips type. I really don't see the point of having Sam Durdin on the list anymore with those added + O'Farrell + Haynes.

maybe essendon taking day-wicks got in the way.

Choosing charleson may mean will be harder for DGB/Durdin/Carroll

McMahon a good chance now

So the club are wild about Harry, doubling our quota from 2 to 4.

We've wiped our feet all over Matt's, offloading 3 of the 5 we had (counting Duffy).

We also got jack of Jack's, turfing 2 of our 3 (not counting the bogan one hiding in plain sight as a Jaxon).

Wonder if that makes things a little dicier for Matt Carroll's SSP prospects - similar kind of player, isn't he?

Except quicker. He is a short kick specialist though so maybe Charleson is a quicker SPS.

Same … a lot of them have put in a tonne of work and they can be left a bit bewildered when the dust settles …
and the way the rookie selections are done - quick with no fan fare and effectively over when it starts

Absolutely brutal way to squash a dream they have been working on for effectively their whole lives

Really do wish them the best
