Picks 1 and 2 would put the Tiggs in a very strong position - gives them flexibilty to take their Dusty clone as well as FOS, like having a bob each way.
If they don't secure pick 2, I agree it puts them in a bit of an awkward position which one to take. As much as their supporters thinking their gonna get a bargain cos Norf only have 2 and junk picks, I reckon the ball is right back in their court to come up with a trade that Norf will agree to. Lalor or FOS?
And in the meantime, we're just sitting back waiting for all the pieces to be sorted, knowing we're gonna get one of Lalor, FOS or Jagga......

Here's my take (out of 5):Neater disposal and more of an accumulator.
Of the four characteristics I think we're really looking for, i'd rate the two as follows (based on my limited viewing of Youtube highlights).
Draper Jagga Disposal Speed / Agility Clearance Accumulation
Draper | Smith | |
Disposal under pressure | 3 | 5 |
Kicking power | 4 | 4 |
Top speed | 3.5 | 4.5 |
Acceleration | 5 | 4.5 |
Endurance | 4 | 5 |
Agility | 5 | 5 |
Clearance | 5 | 5 |
Strength | 3.5 | 2.5 |
Accumulation | 4 | 5 |
Check by your ankles. I think he might be standing on Milkcrate's shoulders waving at you.More than comfortable with Jagga at 3. Give him #7. Ben Campo #16. Lucas can have Bradley’s old number.
I can hit up short targets. Speaking of which - Where is Ferris anyways??
pick 2 will do decide our choiceLalor gone and not knowing what North do....
Smith
Draper
Langford or FOS
What also comes into play is what might happen to our next pick
about rightMy hopes:
Pick 1 - FOS
Pick 2 - Tauru
Pick 3 - Lalor
What I think will happen:
Pick 1 - Lalor
Pick 2 - Tauru
Pick 3 - FOS
Hold on, Smith top speed is better than Draper? So, once in motion - Smith is quite fast? Here's my take (out of 5):
Draper Smith Disposal under pressure 3 5 Kicking power 4 4 Top speed 3.5 4.5 Acceleration 5 4.5 Endurance 4 5 Agility 5 5 Clearance 5 5 Strength 3.5 2.5 Accumulation 4 5
Happily admit Draper's athletic ability does have a caveat: played through shin splints this year.
He's factoring in Norf bidding on Ashcroft at 2, so making Norf's pick 3 on the night, and ours 4.Since when did Norf have Pick 3 & us Pick 4 (just noticed)
Marc McGowan

Still unconvinced FOS is the right choice for us, l would have Smith/Draper/Langford/Fos in that order if they are all available. My hopes:
Pick 1 - FOS
Pick 2 - Tauru
Pick 3 - Lalor
What I think will happen:
Pick 1 - Lalor
Pick 2 - Tauru
Pick 3 - FOS
I agree. But they still need to get to a draft position where they can be confident they will get him. That’s their challenge.I still think we might see North move out Pick 2
Tauru is not worth that high a selection I wouldn’t have thought.
From limited vision Jagga reminds me of a smaller, weaker but more agile version of Clayton Oliver. He'll be a quality AFL bust proof player.
Smith is bust proof imo.Smith v Draper
Smith has better lateral movement, awareness in congestion
Either would be great additions, but Smith the better long term prospect, IMHO
Wowee. I can live with a midfield of Cripps Jagga Walsh Cez TdKCan someone help me?!!
I’ve just returned from the year 2035 and I found this cryptic clue on a tv game show under:
“which 5 time premiership player and two time Brownlow medalist did Carlton trade up to pick way back in 2024?”
Was it Jessie Smith???? I’ve been racking my brain all night about (Oh and make sure you stock up on toilet paper and crypto)

Because North's midfield looks set for the next 10 years. If I was north Melbourne I’d probably just keep pick 2 and take Jagga.
No one is talking about this scenario.

I called it the other day, keep 2 - take best available & sell a mid next year for 1st & 2nd round picks, use that to bring in an established KPP.If I was north Melbourne I’d probably just keep pick 2 and take Jagga.
