If I was north Melbourne I’d probably just keep pick 2 and take Jagga.

No one is talking about this scenario.
They’re well stacked with midfielders and probably in need of Key position players.

Also they only have picks 2 and 62. They should and need to split #2 into two first round picks to bang for buck.

Spending #2 on a midfielder or reaching for a KPP is not in the best interests of the club.

How many midfielders can you draft over a 4 or 5 year period? Would be the biggest list imbalance I’ve ever seen.

Of course it’s a scenario but the least likely imo, did you see their backline this year?

Yeah but an 18 year old defender won’t impact without a few pre seasons.

Look I think they will trade back but I feel like they will lose out somehow.

Can someone help me?!!

I’ve just returned from the year 2035 and I found this cryptic clue on a tv game show under:

“which 5 time premiership player and two time Brownlow medalist did Carlton trade up to pick way back in 2024?”

Was it Jessie Smith???? I’ve been racking my brain all night about (Oh and make sure you stock up on toilet paper and crypto)

IMO, Jagga is the one, compared to others, that will need additional time to build his body before he plays regular AFL.
Opposition teams will be physically aggressive towards him. We’ve seen that. Whoever drafts him, has to do the right thing and be patient.

Imagine the priceless storyline if the Tigers trade up to take the first two picks and select Lalor and FOS, after having had Jagga Smith play a number of reserves games for the club with some spectacular numbers at the end of the season and overlooked him.

Carlton take the “left over” with pick three and end up with a generational talent to participate in multiple premierships, earning numerous individual accolades along the way.

Times have changed a bit and the targeted violence and aggression have been largely removed from the game now.
Nobody can even fart in Daicos’s direction now without him receiving a free kick and Ginnivan would have been belted out of the game by now with the way things used to be.
Rozee and Butters can run amok these days just to name a few …

I love Jagga, but you have to wonder if graduating school has given him an advantage over the others this year, in terms of being able to pursue his footy without distractions.

You obviously haven’t been watching Walsh and Crippa over the past years.
You might be right, I guess who drafts him.

On the other hand, FOS's performance in the VFL seems to be why the tigers fans all want him
