It’s completely true, what is also true is that external factors training/diet/environment etc have a massive impact also.

My point here is that genetics are the blueprint, but most people tend to start with a good blueprint.
If the Crows were trading to 2 wouldn’t it be for Draper?

My source specifically said the Crows were meeting FOS because we had decided on Draper.

They did also so pick 2 was likely to be traded on draft night but no one knew where to
Could be either or both, I don't think any source either knows or is willing to give away proper inside info right now.

Even Lalor at 1 keeps wobbling.

I think we can turn 3 and 38 into Smillie and Hotton, which I would do. If Hotton interest is even cooler, we could turn 3 and 38 and some future swaps - or with AFL approval, sending a future 2nd out the door - into Smillie, Hotton, and Hynes.

If Jagga is actually going to be there at 6 instead, then it can be Jagga, Hotton, and Hynes. I think that would be an amazing outcome for our list in the short, medium, and long term.

Problem is that to do that we have to trade out of pick 3 - and that's something you have to commit to early. There's no guarantee that Hotton and Hynes are available at the later picks we'd potentially secure, so taking that path is a gamble.

I think mostly due to Jaggas frame and size. He's incredibly slight even for an 18 year old.

If he puts on some size and can get up into that 80-85kg range I could see him being the clear best in the draft, but I'm not sure how capable he'll be with his body.
Probably 77/78 kg would be his best and likely ideal projected weight, can’t see him capable of gaining and maintaining anything 85 kg without possibly hindering parts of his game…

I would say it would be neglect of the coach not to visit all the draft options and their families at their homes… Draper happens to live on SA. Draper may be picked, but I do t believe it’s the smoking gun for those looking for clues.
The story is just trying to grab a headline, Cal reported yesterday that Vossy had met with all 5 candidates in the past week

You are obsessed with Cal.

Cal this, Cal that :tearsofjoy:

As others have mentioned, this isn't an issue with a professional diet and weight routine. He'll put on 5-6kg easy.

Jimmae - where’s your love for Hotton coming from. Frankly, I didn’t see a lot in those 3 games he played early. Seems like the Hotton clan is a bit fragile also with his brother getting cut through injury.

Also - Would you not look for a big if you’re losing 38 and obviously upgrading. Need a KPD most IMO.

Still think we'll take FOS if both are available come our pick. Either way I'll be ecstatic with either.

For those interested, Draper was very happy with his back in that interview. Said it is not an issue and is pleased how strong it is feeling now. Sounds like it is a normal young athlete issue. Alix Tarau also missed the combine with and is recovering from a back stress fracture i understand.

Crippa and Harry went through it in their first year. Sid sounded as though his is something he is pretty much through already.

If Cal reckons we are leaning one way or the other he wasn't going to say it yesterday. Felt he wasn't trying to give to much away about any club aside from pointing out the obvious candidates.

Wants us to tune into his phantom next week and give himself till the last minute to nail his predictions.
As he always does, it's one of the main reasons he gets so much right, he has the connections to get the good oil and he waits for the cards to fall before committing too hard.

Brions had McCluggage, Bailey and Rayner who all rotate on ball frequently, are highly damaging forward of centre and kick goals for fun.

Pies had Degoey, NDaicos and JDaicos. Crisp too if you count him.

WCE had Shuey and Yeo.

Hawks won flags 10 years ago, completely irrelevant to the conversation. Games not even remotely the same.

Richmond had Dusty, Bolton and Edwards who all played significant minutes through the midfield.

Nothing uve written here is based in truth, the Langford blinders are a bit out of control.
As opposed to the Langford is Kennedy mach 2 with 99 variations?

Alot of excitement off the back of FOS's draft camp and the fact he was able to test really well across multiple disciplines. A real hybrid athlete.

I wonder if the excitement around Draper would be higher if he was available for testing? Based on previous results he likely tests better then FOS in the sprint and agility tests and similar or better in the 2km time trial. Also, a rare hybrid athlete.

The last time we went with an obsessive 'fast mid' focusing on speed out of the contest above other things... well, it didn't work out so well. In saying that, Draper is not Dow.
Was Dow really that fast? I didn’t see it
