How do we even sleep tonight
That game is one of the reasons I have Jagga as the clear #1 in this draft. You need to understand the context of that stat. The game was in horribly wet conditions. These games never produce big metres gained numbers. Most of the decisions he made with ball in hand were the correct ones as he needed to go backwards from the coalface so that his team could maintain control. There was also a possession where he gathered the ball on the goal line and hit his teammate with a 40m kick to give his team a shot on goal. That alone would've been -40m against him but was essential to his team winning. He was easily BOG and led his team to a hard fought narrow win through his poise and cleanliness while everyone on both teams were fumbling. Yes the stat line looks bad in isolation, but without him going backwards his team would not have won that day. What threw me off was that game where he had 30+ touches (18 contested) but managed only 50m gained.
I decided to torture myself and watch Dylan Alexanders latest video critiquing Cals Phantom Draft. I was hoping he would confirm Jagga. But no, quite the opposite. He poo poo's the entire Jagga logic. Given it has cast major doubts in my head, I thought it only fair I inflect the torture on you all too...
Of course you can.Can I have an opinion if I have watched 25 mins of video footage?
Love you stuff C4 so take this with the respect I deliver it…..I agree that I’m not buying into the Tauru hype.
He could just as easily be a bust.
Casboult one of the best contested clunkers of all time. Was he a bust? I wouldn't say so, but I certainly wouldn't have spent a top 5 pick on the Big Tofu.Love you stuff C4 so take this with the respect I deliver it…..
In my view if he becomes a bust he’s the best marking bust of all time.
Of course you can.
But your opinion might not be as valid as those who have watched dozens of full games over the past few years.
Pretty rough on a rookie pickCasboult one of the best contested clunkers of all time. Was he a bust? I wouldn't say so, but I certainly wouldn't have spent a top 5 pick on the Big Tofu.

One sleep to go: The latest mail on who your club will pick in this year’s AFL draft

Sam or Tom?Tom Mitchell is a brownlow medalist, multiple all australian to be fair, so not really the end of the world if it turned out like that. .
Jagga currently is an inside ball winner that at times has been a high possession player with lowish meters gained. He has worked on being more dynamic and driving forward.Rubbish
Ben tested poorly but also reportedly in other testing is extremely powerful.Any concern with drafting both Jagga and Ben C into the team? Both inside accumulators with neither having a burst of speed.
god I'm sick of this.Who's bursting from our stoppages? Cody Walker?
Selective by the looks of itgod I'm sick of this.
Who did it in 2023 when we literally set club and AFL records for goals from centre bounce with quarters like that one with 6 or 7 goals.straight from the bounce against gc. Like. Are memories that short or just selective?
Exactly. Cripps bursts from stoppage. Jagga can burst from stoppage. Bursting from stoppage isn’t our weakness it’s agility and speed at the contest. Throw in disposal as well.god I'm sick of this.

How quickly we’ve all forgotten Paddy Dows 2023god I'm sick of this.
