Would we trust Durdin's shoulder? Reckon he is one I would pass on, if we are learning on playing unreliable players.

Durdin is a low quality player, who hasn't played much and when he has he has proven his form is poor and is playing like a player protecting his body which we don't want. IMO would much rather play young players who have sound bodies.

Only players I would be playing injured are our experienced high quality players.

No Lemmy = No Key Forward = No Good Start = No Win
= Depression = Downfall of civilisation = Armageddon = Nuclear Wasteland

The Carlton selectors have a lot to answer for.

Already up to six more pages than the preview of the Hawthorn game with still more than two days to go - I guess there is more interest in the game than some might have thought...
Is it surprising? There was always going to be discussion around debutants and the makeup of the team etc.

Disagree. Had lots of bench time and played deep a lot. Issue is at AFL level a fwd has to do a lot of defensive work. Run from defence is now a real weapon. He is improving but will blow up quickly.
With a bit of luck Moir will go on to have a huge injury free pre-season.

Then look out, Ash could easily become an integral part of our forward line next season.

Looks like it's heading that way Soap. All things being equal, Durds would be in the 22 - still a fan of his when he's fit - but very underdone and wouldn't be selected if we weren't smashed with injuries. Sub makes sense.

I'd still like to find a spot for big Lem, just for a little more height and give him a taste of senior footy. Gives us the additional ruck option as well to pinch hit when Pitto's off. Not sure on the latest weather outlook, but if it looks reasonable, bring the big lug in :thumbsu:
Yep, hoping for a late out. Especially if it is a dry game.

Owies for Lemmey. Owies has really struggled lately, looks like he needs a spell.

And this is the problem with modern footy. Not everyone has a huge aerobic capacity, nor want to run around the ground all day chasing. Sure, when it's within 20-30 metres outside the 50m arc, but the groups of schoolkids running up and down the field is ludicrous and unsustainable. Like I posted in the Moir thread, stick him in the square and let him burst out.

How I hope we line up:

B: Cincotta Young McGovern
HB: Cowan Weitering Newman
C: Acres Cripps Binns
HF: Elijah Kennedy Williams
F: Moir Kemp Motlop
Foll: Pittonet Lord Walsh
Int: Hewett Carroll Owies Ollie (Durdin)
I'd like to see Dom instead of a banged up Durds.
Need a spare defender, and it allows Gov or Cinc to go forward if necessary.(also Kennedy can play more midfield)

I almost made a Ghoul reference.

will the amount of smalls we have running around mean some slightly different numbers for centre bounce attendances?

kind of want durdin to have a good turn in the square given he was apparently recruited as a midfielder, unless i'm misremembering. he's on the list for a couple of years, has to be worthwhile seeing if we have a speedier midfielder already on the list.
