It hasn't been confirmed but I have a strong feeling that yes - this is the reason. Probably a deal with the MCG stating Round 1 must be played there. So with a little linguistic shimmy shammy - Round 0 was born.

Maybe we can also call a pre season opener “The Grand Final” and then play the “The Final Game of the Season” somewhere else?

For those of who haven’t been knee deep in the pre-season goings on - is it a surprise (like it is to me) that we are the favourites going into the game?

Melbourne handled us pretty decisively twice last year. And we’ve got three key mids out and Oliver, Petracca, etc. are there.

Nice to see someone sitting in my old area - sat in the Bstand for too many years 3rd row (ladies stand end 12 seats along and right on the centre square great spot, crap stand!)
