Yeah next year it should be the 8 interstate teams playing in round 0 only.
It's like the old days when we had 2 or 3 preseason games to judge a form line. Less guessing. This is probably better than that also as there is no question of guys being held back because it's just a preseason game.
The byes will have minimal effect if we select the right rookies also.

I had him in my team all pre season but the bye got in my head so went with English. Am now considering just rolling with Briggs as Naismith may be decent cover.

This ....BUT, we have to be careful of Rookies being subbed, or starting as sub .....or you end up with too many Billings type scores and non rookie scoring
So I differ from Jiska 's thoughts .....I'll take a mid-pricer, if it guarantee's me the chance of a pop-off score, with so many best 18 rounds
It'll also help in choosing a couple of R0 players

It was said ....Hardwick is not great for SC scoring ....Gold Coast today had 9 x player tons ....4 x 120 plus

I wouldn't read too much into it Wayno it was against an undermanned Tigers if they do that again in Round 1 against your mob then maybe get excited.
