So you're suggesting we should chase Oliver who is absolutely damaged goods with no guarantees he'll ever get back into his AA form not to mention the salary we'd have to pay up. You do realise Melbourne wouldn't take less than our pick 4 possibly more?

Pass.

Yes I am suggesting chasing Oliver if someone competent at our club does due diligence.

Its a tough trade to quantify from the outside because we don't know his mental wellbeing. If he is mentally stable and we believe he will be able to get to his best - he is absolutely worth pick 4 and the salary.

He looked alright when he went forward TBH
Just looks so much more natural playing an offensive game. Not too many guys his size that could sprint away from an opposition player into an open goal like he did against Sydney. He was obviously an AA U18 KPD, but for whatever reason he doesn't look that player at AFL level so far (still early of course).

How do you screw that kind of meeting up?

All you have to do is show up and be enthusiastic and talk about a future with Fog and Filthy.

I could do that. Get me on the staff, ffs.
Maybe that what he did and Luko didn't like be talked about like he was only 3rd best......

They will eventually win a flag with that midfield.. once Ken goes
Hinkley has overachieved with that list in the last 5 years with a massive assistance of a H&A and Final series advantage in consecutive pandemic seasons and somehow still get a very easy draw, even Dwyane is finally realising it lol.

And just a reminder. Here is what you said about Dustin Martin in early 2017.

Its pretty clear you value character over talent. Unfortunately - it appears our club does as well. Shame we can't get premiership points for having no tats and being really nice.

Apparently Port have tabled a contract offer to keep Boak on the list for another year... after the prelim final last week, surely they're not that dumb?
They’re hamstrung. They have no draft capital, and are trading out players to get trades in, and draft selection.

The outgoing players create the list spots, but it’s a zero sum game. They can’t really afford to delist or retire too many players as they will be picking at the wrong end of the draft.

100%. Geelong have no problem recruiting “damaged goods”.

Wanting choir boys only is such a r******d mentality. It’s not 1955.

I enjoy your posts on here probably more than anyone elses, particularly draft related, however I find these two statements contradictory.

If Oliver is absolutely damaged goods then Melbourne would know it and they would be trying to mitigate the damage his contract will do to the club. Surely they'd start negotiations at 4 but would settle for much less.

By the way I would only consider trading for Oliver if they were paying a significant percentage of his wage, and it cost us no higher than a pick in the 20s.

It's pretty telling how many of the same people who back in Nicks and think he "fixed the culture" aren't willing to test this theory out on Oliver.

Why can't Rory Laird just decide he wants to go to a Vic club??

Wasn't this expected with all the recent new hires? Had to be someone leaving to bring in all these new people

Parham describes himself in his twitter bio as 'Head of Player Health and Performance Rehab'. Not sure if any of these roles are just a different name for that role?

Those new roles seem similar and maybe Burgess decided to fill the role with multiple people? Who knows, but it seems like Burgess knew about this for a while.

Wow, lots of posts.

Anything worth reading? Or just lots of anxiety and complaints?

Summary:

Lukosius nominated Port
Cumming had a medical with Port and Crows and will soon decide
Houston is leaving Port for a Victorian club
Soldo is leaving Port for a Victorian club
Tim Parham from our fitness department is leaving for Port

One vague rumour of a new trade target no one has mentioned being floated as potentially finding out tomorrow who it is.

But other than that just people pissed that Port are out classing us off the field

Allegedly Nicks meeting with Luko this week went terribly too

And that's what you missed on glee
