I'm sure they see it as both.

We're not dropping Curtin, Nank or Pick 4. But equally, they're not immediately dropping Laird. He'll continue in his defensive 50 role.
Well, it can't be both

Someone is getting squeezed out when they come in

Called the best defence in the league by many

Would love to have Montgomery as a mentor to Hombsch, in that regard
Luke Kelly told he's not wanted anymore down the road so they might be in the hunt as well and Louie Montgomery on the F/S radar might be a problem?

Yeah with the son coming in, I can’t see it

Also, he’ll have a more senior position with us (Carr is basically senior assistant there)

So if we bring in Cumming ANB and Peatling, they all improve our 22? Who goes out?

Cumming-Smith or Laird
ANB-Murphy
Peatling-Berry?
Jones, McHenry, Smithers, Murphy should never be considered best 22, heck 25 with these ins.

P4, hopefully Draper needs to play as well.

I reckon itll be Nank sadly. Kid has some kinks he needs to iron out but he's got a big future.

TBH I wouldnt be surprised to see Laird miss too.
Big test for Nicks

The feel-goodery and matey stuff needs to end at some stage. It's one thing to repair the culture and it does need seem to be a happier place than when he started. However there's surely an appetite for some success now and some impatience creeping in.

Will he and his coaching staff be prepared to make hard, internally-unpopular calls?

Word is Kenny has gone away to consider his position, if true that would put the cat among the pigeons surely should he decide to move on?

The Sauce "be nice to fans and past players" role ??
We actually do need someone dynamic in that past player liaison role. Repair some bridges.

On a slightly similar topic, I actually heard that Brodie Smith's parents have been instrumental behind the scenes with the families of Crows players. Both interstate and local. They get them involved in the club, drive a lot of the social interaction.

Yeah Gordo is the type of bloke that wants all the parents involved, bit like Tim Vince was when Bernie was here. All the times you see stuff on socials with the players and their families, its Nicks and Smith

carlton seems the perfect fit for him

silvagni, voss there and pick 12 is a bit low but they could chuck in owies or something on top

port might want north F1 but why would houston agree to it! he wont

its gonna be carlton
I reckon the North F1 talk is just designed to squeeze more from Carlton. There is no way Houston is going there, and if he was, there's no way that North are paying that.

North still have the option of splitting that pick and they'd have clubs queued up to get it.

Do we really know how bad Houston wants to get home. I'm not buying the happy to stay bullcrap.?
