Hardly.

It has only existed on this board.

Speaking on AFL Media’s Gettable, journalist Callum Twomey reported the plethora of clubs interested in acquiring the 24-year-old out.

“The Demons, the Western Bulldogs, Collingwood, St Kilda and West Coast have also been in the market for him,” Twomey revealed.

“There’s still a chance he stays… that one’s going to be a bit of a trade period shaper.”

It's an invention of BigFooty, and stand by for everyone to be upset when we don't get him.
Twomey has NFI about clubs or draftees outside of Victoria and the rumour came from Jeffcrowe. Where do you think these journos get most of their rumours from? It's player managers or people connected to them, the same as many rumours that start online.

Bigfooty?

I am more of a lurker than a poster but Jeffcrowe seems like a credible poster. I believe their info more than a lot of people on this board. Though learning from the Cummings rumours, people are getting bad info. Even trusted posters got that one wrong.
Clubs can feed player managers bad info too, which then gets passed down to the line to journos or people that post on here. The fact Twomey or other journos haven't named him just means their sources aren't connected to the Crows. Dawson and Sloane probably met up with Peatling in Melbourne, that's hardly a stretch given heaps of people have been there since last weekend for the Brownlow and GF.

They can replace Brodie Smith

Or play alongside Brodie Smith

Our coaches' choice, and which is the question being asked.
I think Brodie answered that after the season .....expecting to play SANFL predominantly ....his choice to fight for a spot, or retire

I can't blame him ...you're a longtime retired

Peatling would be an assume get along with Cumming, but be staggered if GWS traded him
He is an ex GWS academy boy and apparently does want to stay but the numbers are going up and up with six clubs after him. GWS went up to 3 years from 2 but don’t know how their cap is going.

Just hope we are having a real go if we are in the mix

We actually do need someone dynamic in that past player liaison role. Repair some bridges.

On a slightly similar topic, I actually heard that Brodie Smith's parents have been instrumental behind the scenes with the families of Crows players. Both interstate and local. They get them involved in the club, drive a lot of the social interaction.
Get them tickets to games and stuff?

No he hasnt. i was having lunch at Ned Kelly bakery yesterday and Ken walked in with Jason Cripps and a few others. They seemed like they were getting down to business for the trade/draft period.
Nice pies there

He walked to us.

You cannot target anyone this late. Good clubs have the pieces in hand long before this

It you can have a discussion early without all your chips on the table and then up the anti.
Pearling has 6-7 clubs into him suggesting no one appears to have locked into him months ago

David Wildy apparently believes Nathan Bassett is set to take up an assistant role with former teammate Simon Goodwin's Demons.

North still have the option of splitting that pick and they'd have clubs queued up to get it.

Do we really know how bad Houston wants to get home. I'm not buying the happy to stay bullcrap.?
I don’t buy it either, especially as Houston will be getting a nice pay rise over the next 2 years if he leaves.

And Port have no currency to trade for Luko unless he goes. And other clubs know it.

Port can’t hold out for “overs” in a trade in this situation because if Houston stays, Luko stays at GC. Both have contracts for the next couple of years. It would be gold if that happened, but unlikely.

Word is Kenny has gone away to consider his position, if true that would put the cat among the pigeons surely should he decide to move on?

I mentioned here 4/5/6 months ago that Ken will quit at the end of this year. Info I got 6 weeks ago was that nothing had changed. Since the Geelong game it absolutely has not changed - he will walk away from football. He definitely does not plan to stay in the industry. Does that mean he won’t change his mind tomorrow, who knows?
From the day after since his last renewal, Aug /Sept last year, it has not been enjoyable for him.
I have other info that was told to me in confidence that I will absolutely not disclose that all lends weight to this.

With Perryman headed to Pies, they will likely now drop out of the race

Reckon Carlton will cough up a future first and pick 31 this year - Port will use that F1 for Luko. And assume will try and swing their F1 for 12 maybe.

Swap Himmelberg for Peatling. Simple
Not a bad suggestion actually, If Peatling was keen to come here. I imagine that GWS interest in Himo has cooled because if they take him as a FA they will lose compo for one of their departing FA’s. We could therefore throw Himo in (as we are going to get nothing for him anyway) to sweeten our offer. Maybe F2 plus Himo would appeal to them, especially now that it looks like they could lose up to 7 required players.
