Luke Kelly told he's not wanted anymore down the road so they might be in the hunt as well and Louie Montgomery on the F/S radar might be a problem?

That’s a really good point. Particularly if Ken leaves - Monty to Senior and Carr to coach. Smooth transition that would sell beautifully to their fans
And stole another one from the Crows!

IF the Club has announced the change in role for Burns .....that means they already have their man

Hardly.

It has only existed on this board.

Speaking on AFL Media’s Gettable, journalist Callum Twomey reported the plethora of clubs interested in acquiring the 24-year-old out.

“The Demons, the Western Bulldogs, Collingwood, St Kilda and West Coast have also been in the market for him,” Twomey revealed.

“There’s still a chance he stays… that one’s going to be a bit of a trade period shaper.”

It's an invention of BigFooty, and stand by for everyone to be upset when we don't get him.
So you are ruling out a rumour first seen on Thursday based on a podcast you heard on Wednesday?

Not saying you are right or wrong, just that Gettable isn't exactly Gospel. Especially when it comes to the Crows

You mean like we have sacked coaches like Godden in the past, only to bring them back as they didn't nail a replacement.

I wouldnt trade 4... Trade the f1
If it was for a young mid gun already in the system I absolutely would. Do I think a young gun like Callaghan or Phillipou is necessarily a better talent? No - that’s a line-ball call. But they would be hitting their peak while Dawson, Hinge, Keays and even Fog are still at their peak.

If we draft now and assume Pick 4 starts hitting their peak at the arbitrary age of 23, this would be the age of other significant players on our list:

Dawson - 32
Keays - 32
Hinge - 31
Cumming - 31
Fogarty - 30
Rankine - 29

Why wouldn't you try get have your pick 4 this year and your phillipou?

Your f1 can be anywhere from 5 to 14... Keeping your 4 this year will guarantee a great player

That would be ideal but realistically if those types of players became available clubs are definitely only accepting pick 4.

Not a bad suggestion actually, If Peatling was keen to come here. I imagine that GWS interest in Himo has cooled because if they take him as a FA they will lose compo for one of their departing FA’s. We could therefore throw Himo in (as we are going to get nothing for him anyway) to sweeten our offer. Maybe F2 plus Himo would appeal to them, especially now that it looks like they could lose up to 7 required players.
Also a few of their talls have been delisted or asked to be traded. Himmelberg is still a need for GWS.

But free agency comes before trade week and he's unrestricted so if he wants to go to gold coast there's nothing we can do about it

No absolutely, he and GWS would have to have a firm agreement beforehand. I suppose it would depend on how much he was still keen to play with his brother.
