So the Peatling trade are we simply asking GWS to swap F2 and F3 with them as the deal to get Peatling where by we don't actually lose any picks we simply push them back.

With the assumption that GWS finish above us?

Like what if they don't (unlikely) and we end up with better picks and a player? That would be like 4D chess level trading
Doubt it.

More likely to be a swap of future 2nds, then we hand over out 3rd.

Strange to see people wishing for David Noble back. I remember him not being very popular around these parts. Maybe I’m misremembering.
He was a good operator, but was wearing too many hats towards the end as we had too many vacancies.

Far better than our incumbent.

Yeh he was. Ironically I'm not sure Clarko has won any more games than noble did as coach anyway.
Fair question - and their results have been very similar.

Noble coached Norf for 38 games, achieving a 5-1-32 record.
Clarkson has coached Norf for 36 games, achieving a 6-30 record.

There really isn't a lot between them, at least in terms of coaching Norf.

yeh i didnt think there was much in it

So does anyone have any leads on this 4th target?
Yep ...

Couple of interesting tidbits that I got out of my mate today:
  • The Tauru talk of going to North at pick 2 or even in the top 5 is fantasy nonsense from Twomey, still projected to go in the 8-12 range - North are the most keen on FOS or Lalor (Lalor ahead of FOS if both available), one of those two very likely at North
  • Crows will likely take FOS or Draper, Lalor and Langford unlikely to still be on the board at pick 4
  • Eagles still very very keen on Draper, should get a bit more info on this after the SA combine this weekend

Based on this and previous stuff I've heard, a possible draft order is (excluding Ashcroft):
1. Langford
2. Lalor
3. Draper
4. FOS
5. Smith
For the draft watchers, FOS over Smith?

No they were looking at Wright for a far more senior role. Effectively would have been 2IC to CEO.

I would look to bring in Balme as a part-time consultant to help with major football operational decisions.
So are we still looking for someone to fill the role, or has Davis filled it?

FOS is still my preferred option, so I’m hoping Richmond take Smith, North go Lalor and West Coast selects Draper.

Would feel weird ending up with a Vic Metro lad in Jagger. Would we actually take him or go for Travaglia in that scenario?

Is this suggesting that Richmond are taking Langford at pick 1 or a
Our own draft Board rating at Adelaide.

So if Richmond take Lalor North FOS and West Coast Draper..... That leaves Langford at 4 for us to take? Which I believe Hamish would be pretty happy with

FOS is a country lad that boarded in Melbourne IIRC?. Smith is Vic metro and private school. If I am correct, that alone tells me enough
O’Sullivan seems incredibly vanilla to me, and hardly gets any of it in any game I’ve watched. I really don’t understand the hype at all. Of those 2 it would be Smith by a long way regardless of where they were from.

Wasn't Noble the negotiator when we got taken to the cleaners by Geelong for Dangerfield? And then came out of it all bullish like "Wow, they are so great to deal with! We're confident we got a great deal."

I think so and that didn’t win him many admirers.

Although, I think it was the first free agent ‘megastar’ deal of it’s type. So, it was kind of uncharted waters.
