Gerald Healey on SEN
“The saints ruined paddy McCartin’s career playing him forward and should have realised much sooner he was a superior backman”.
No mention of 6 concussions that might have had a small impact.

Up there with worst take of the year. And the bloke sitting next to him backing him up has the IQ of a golden retriever.
Gerald Healey's hot takes include being 'confused' why we took Nas over Josh Sinn.

So at our Best & Fairest our Prez blasts the AFL for his words on Father Sons and Academy picks system and everybody called us sooks and whingers
After the Ashcroft pick last night all these people on social media complaining about the system.
Bunch of hypocrites

Nothing surer in footy, they need us to move the needle so they have something to blame, then when it slaps them in the face they can gain understanding and claim the benefit so the dead hamster can breathe again for the next time resurrection attempt.

Eamonn Armstrong from Meath. If I’m not mistaken tomjoad was living in Meath.

I’m expecting a full scouting report.

As most know, i'm not an advocate of the Irish experiment. I find many of them have been a big fish in a small pond, and have had people blowing smoke up their arses for too long, which doesn't translate well when they come over to Australia, and they're at the bottom of the pile.
This kid is, however, a jet for the Meath U20 team. He has all the athleticism and endurance to make it in the AFL. As a Gaelic player he is quick, tough and quite talented. He reads the play extremely well...quite skilful. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders which should help him with the game and being away from Ireland. I think he's very keen to be in a professional environment.

Look, with how things are in Ireland at the moment...he's got more of a chance of getting something out of being in Australia, than he does with having to live with his mum and dad until he's 45.
Hopefully he can see that, and gets to work.
I think he'll appreciate the opportunity, here's hoping he makes the most of it.
Good luck to him.

Wow , i can accept confusion back at the time they were drafted, but with the performance of 21 year old Sinn this year, you'd have to think that confusion is not a logical confusion to have.
I wonder if he also gets confused because the sun isn't up at night.

Simultaneously I will take you on while also confirming …

Geeze I'm no mccartin fan but that's a ducking terrible call.

Saints did nothing but the best for the guy. Mccartin didn't make it because of mccartin.
My medical knowledge is quite strong. I read on the Webz that concussions can only happen in the forward half of the ground. Once you cross that line into the defensive half, then it’s all good.

Bit harsh on the golden retriever, they're great dogs.

I mean, it wouldn't be the WORST outcome for North if they finished bottom 4 and got band 1 compo for LDU. If there's a decent KPP they can trade the pick for or use in the draft it would probably be an overall improvement of their list balance. Wardlaw, Simpkin, McKercher, FOS, Powell, Sheezel and they just traded in Parker who they'll get for a few seasons.

Pick 2-5 compo for LDU hypothetically, they could trade for a decent key forward or key defender or draft a top tall. They also traded out their 1st round pick for next year so a compo pick wouldn't be a bad option for them.

More sense than a lot of the pundits who failed to recognise there wasn't a top tier mid available at our picks and we simply drafted best available rather than reaching.
Absolutely there goodie23.

He was making way way to much sense.

Loved how he was jealous of our overall pics....he gave us a tremendous rap.

He certainly knows his stuff.....it was a very enjoyable listen.

Look out Cal.........

And maybe that’s why they did it.
Probably realise he’s gone.

But hang on, how do you get a compo right after your first pick if you don’t have one? 🤔
