Is Fireman running the midweek tackle?
I’m neither here nor there on Houston, we can walk away from that if it gets too much but will keep us busy and something to discuss over trade period after we get our main targets done early
You forgot Zurhaar. Big holes in that 24/25 age group too. Thanks TT.Our age profile for 2025 if we include for discussion purposes (Darling, Houston and Parker):

I would argue the majority of our premiership-worthy talent is 23 and below next year, with the obvious Larkey, Xerri, Logue and LDU being our leaders when that time comes.
I think the two elder inclusions give us experience and strengthen age profiles where we are seriously lacking, it'll be kids running the place otherwise, and will hopefully straighten us up week-to-week while the real talent matures.
We will be very lucky for Houston to be there and firing when we can contend for top 4.
We will be doing well if the 26/27 group are still fit enough to make that push.
If i was making the calls, i'd be strengthening the side for the supporters that turn up every week, the sponsors, all that, while recruiting as much talent into the under 25 category as possible, and prioritising their development above all else.
Sorry, but that is bullsh$t. Prior to Houston being on the market, and the associated rumours of him possibly being a target, how many on here have posted something along the lines of 'Geez, that Houston is a gun, exactly what we need, we should be selling the farm for him'.
Its not an either/or.If for some reason ($$$) he wants to come and play for us, and we have to spend a whole lot of draft capital, then I can't wait for the posters who advocated for the trade to start to piss & moan about how we have no developing KFPs to kick to, and no small forwards who can apply a bit of defensive pressure.
Our F1 is a super controversial bargaining chip too.I’m on the fence with him but he is a gun and we should expect a very good 5-6 years of him with his durability, if he was 26 I’d reckon more people would be on board. There’s a lot of lingering grief about dealing with Port though.
We could get linked to a time machine that can land us GAJ and Wayne Carey in their primes and there'd be comments on here saying that they'd only give up a 2nd round pick and nothing moreBigfooty: We need to trade for better players and not spuds like Fisher, Stephens, Tucker and Darling.
We get linked to a 2xAA 27 year old star with 4 or 5 elite years left and in a position we need.
Also Bigfooty: **** that, he's overrated and won't help us improve and rather draft an unknown 18 year old kid that needs 5 years of development.
What was the full trade they proposed, I shut the surface pro and went down to Canggu beach to watch the sunset instead. Wrong of me I know. Where do the 10/17 come from?
Sorry, but what line? A couple of nuff nuff journos launch a gossip column because they've got nothing else to talk about, and we all melt because the recently crowned BnF winner is walking out.If LDU is taking that line, it certainly explains some of the trade chat. I just hope we don't sell the farm to encourage him to sign on.
Houston is 27, 28 half way into next year pretty much. He is in the exact age bracket our club needs right now. The club can’t win can it, we are drafting top end talented teenagers - we are to young. We bring in some old experienced heads - they are too old. We look to bring in someone somewhere in the Middle age wise and even that’s not good enough.
Tell me, with what’s available, what is it exactly you’d like the club to do?
15 or 17 would be better than 10.Good signs the main media have picked it up.
What is this you are talking about?Sorry, but what line? A couple of nuff nuff journos launch a gossip column because they've got nothing else to talk about, and we all melt because the recently crowned BnF winner is walking out.

F*** - Brad the ImpalerWe are all to be hunted, captured and kept in a large oubliette and then slowly tortured to death and finally our corpses devoured by History's Greatest Monster - Brady Rawlings
We've got 10 candidates for HB, id much rather spend it in the draft. Be that a Lalor a versatile mid with burst, a key forward like Armstrong or a small fwd like Berry.
I mean…. Hot or not = NotF*** - Brad the Impaler
What's LDU doing? If LDU is taking that line, it certainly explains some of the trade chat. I just hope we don't sell the farm to encourage him to sign on.
Cool your jets Eddy, the only one having a melt is you. lol Not sure where I said LDU was walking out. The simple fact is LDU has not signed on yet, and it would be perfectly reasonable for him to wait and see.Sorry, but what line? A couple of nuff nuff journos launch a gossip column because they've got nothing else to talk about, and we all melt because the recently crowned BnF winner is walking out.

It's like some posters haven't seen the last 5 years, lolI think the strategy is to elevate the club above the 2-4 wins it gets per year over the last 5 years.
The worst football produced in afl history.
It's like some posters haven't seen the last 5 years, lol
Watch memberships tank if we start 0-8 by 'hitting the draft' alone.
We have been so piss poor that I want the club to do everything in its power to improve and learn how to win again.

Its a matter of him keeping them out and we dont get to see what they can develop into.
Either one might be just as good and we already have them. Then we have Hardeman, Fisher, Tucker and the possibility of playing Duursma or even Powell there. I dont see any attributes Houston has that Powell couldn't develop.
Adelaides pick#4 would be what l would go after + pick swaps for our F1st
Split #2 for Richmonds 6, 10 and then offer Poort pick#10 as part of a deal for Houston
We then end up with #4 and #6...
You won’t believe how little it is based on.What is this you are talking about?
