You blokes are kidding. We couldn’t beat an egg the past 4 to 5 years and talk about knocking back a player of calibre of Houston. If he wanted to come, you absolutely get it done. I’m ****ing sick of losing!! I tell you what if a player of his calibre wanted to come , it would spark a chain reaction of attracting more talent.

Taylor adams would be my back up if we miss on parker

I personally know a pies player that didn’t go too much on him and others at Collingwood didn’t either. Apparently one time during those lockdowns in some sort of “bubble” they had at a resort in WA, he had a few to many drinks and really got stuck into Sleevo physically and verbally one night to the displeasure of many teammates.

Don’t think you can death ride your own team.

Although, I feel like some posters death ride some nth players just to validate firmly entrenched opinions.
My scenario is us Death Riding Carlton’s future 1st.

Your scenario is North Death Riding us since 1999

Points wise, 6+10 is a better deal than 2
A win/win.

Gives us manoeuvrability with trades or gives us more scope to pick up the best KPF + best crumber. Pick up the best left over in the second round and pick up a floating small forward with 40.

Walk away with:

Armstrong, Berry, Faull, Hannaford, Darling, Parker

Dan Houston and Ports Future First for our Future First.

It represents such a delicious outside chance of falling in our favour that I would also give them our second rounder next year.

Port have rejected our f1 already.
They want picks this year

Caller on SEN says from a reliable source: Noah Balta considering a shock move with huge offer from North Melbourne..
Makes sense.

Be shit with Richmond on decent dollars or maybe climb the ladder at NM on mega bucks...

Would be an immense trade to pull off.

It would be pick 2 or our future first at a minimum.
This what fa will give them next year they won't accept less.

We need to find a way of trading our F1st to the crows for their pick#4. That should be our 1st thing to do then try to get picks #6 and #10 for our pick#2 and offer #10 to Poort for Houston plus some trade picks as well.

Early days. Lot to play out. I’m sure they want something this year but they’ll probably need to take the best offer and our future first may represent that.
Can't wait for the outrage if we trade pick 2 for balta and f1 for Houston.
Lol

Port don't want our future first.
They already knocked it back

Really? I would have thought they’d jump at it. Houston is a good player and wants out, he turns 28 in May and is not a needle mover type player.

If they truely don’t want our F1st then they must want to keep him. North will most likely have a top 5 pick next draft, which tbh is overs for Houston.

Obviously didn’t know that Sleevo knows karate

Our only link to Konstanty is one blokes Twitter yeh?

Nope, I can I can tell you North have approached Konstanty. So have other clubs. His preference is to stay at the Swans if he can but just wants to play footy so is open to a move. Fits a need and would be great in the Blue and White but will come down to the offer and opportunity presented. I hope we get him but am not sure at this stage.

The guy is in the prime of his career and is second only to Bailey Dale in his kicking ability off half back, yet there are people who would rather give Goater or Bergman a go.

I doubt there’s any chance he chooses us when he has other options, but we’d be negligent not to at least explore it.

They aren’t saying those players are better. They are saying the opportunity cost is getting a top top young player who is closer to our core group age of 23 and is more likely to be around for our next premiership

We’ve got plenty of good young players and virtually no one decent over the age of 26.

Houston should have 5-6 good years left in him, I’d like to think we’d be back up towards the pointy end within that timeframe.
