I liked how the next post was a bloke saying he was a "friend of Jack's dad" and said Jack will finish his career at Melbourne. Very well may happen but it reminded me of the family friend of Jayden Stephenson who guaranteed a panicking Pies board Jaidyn wasn't joining North. And we know what the AFL do when they get an idea about something re money. You're right. I disagree it will be 2027 I think we have the beginnings of a good side now we just need a little refining, but I agree that the football department will need to be very diligent given the talent being spread even further.

But 2028 for us is a great opportunity in that it will disrupt the normal proceedings of the established clubs with interrupted drafts. Clubs from 1 to 12th will be trying to get their foot in the door to ready themselves for 2028 when we have already done all the drafting.

So if we prepare ourselves well, 2028 will be a launching pad much like richmond 2017 going from bottom 6 to top 4.
