So with the trade of pick 14, I would absolutely be going hell for leather for pick 9 even if it costs overs.
Having 7+8+9 with WCE and Richmond scrambling could be the biggest opportunity we have had at the draft since Rooey and Kosi was drafted.

Where did this Barrass talk come from? We aren't trading for him. Misson was adamant we would go with Arie, McLennon and others to step up.
There is little to zero chance we look at Barrass. We are drafting with 7 and 8 or a split if we want, not on a player not as good as Battle.
You obviously haven't kept up with the latest news.

We are going to the draft with 7 & 8 and are looking to trade for pick 9. We wont be looking at Barrass, Hawks will need to work something out with futures or as you say, he stays in Perth.No harm in asking, surely?

It's not that l don't rate him, it's that those l rate don't rate him either.
Have a good look at the people who do rate him and that will tell you all you need to know.
Doesn't fit our age profile. He's a gun player and would love to have him, but his justified price wouldn't be worth it for us.
I don't think Hawthorn's offer of 14 and f2 for Barass and f3 was far off the mark at all, think West Coast might regret not taking it when it was available.
