It'll be good to watch a side with two proper tall forwards. Haven't seen that since 2019.

We're certainly going to need to focus attention on a speedy crumbing type or 2 over next year or so.If/ when Comben gets himself on the park, we’re going to be back to land of the giants:
Larkey
Comben
CCJ/ Goldy/ Edwards
That’s three 200cm types, plus Zurhaar. That lineup would be impossible to match up against in the air but lacking mobility on the ground.
Can we start a thread to dissect what the f*ck is going on with LDU'S hair here?

Whenever I see this photo the kid in the front row, first on the left cracks me up. Definitely doing time now. Then the first on the left in the back row, kid looks like he just found out his dog died.

True. It will be an evolving combination of two of those three.I doubt Goldie will play much footy with Edwards, barring injuries.
Pick the premiership player in that lot.
Richmond offered him 2-years and didn’t budge. You can’t offer him 4-years and $2m like North and look other players in the eye who’ve sacrificed a lot for many years to keep the team together - it’s their turn to get a lick of the ice-cream, not CJ who cost the club $100k and someone their job with kebab-gate.
He has promise but at Richmond he was clear third choice ruck behind Nank and Soldo, and he wants to ruck so will get opportunity quicker at North. And he was never going to be a Jack replacement…. we would not want 2 x 200cm players in Lynch and CJ in the same forward line.
So it would have been great to keep him as he is promising and looks like being a good player. But he is a bit lumbering and at this stage is not strong enough for ruck…. he gets pushed off the ball easily ATM.
I see him as similar to Tim English or Rory Lobb…. but if you think you’re getting a bustling and intimidating ruck you’re not. He’s a capable forward who can pinch hit ruck - but at his current physical state he’ll get monstered by NicNat, Darcy and Gawn …. this all may change after another couple of pre-seasons of course.

I reckon youse would have been better off never getting Lynch. You might say he was important in 2019, i dunno it was a long time ago (and I missed alot of that finals series and the late part of that season actually,) but I really think he is a bit over priced and maybe over rated. Since then I haven't thought that much of him. This is pretty much it.
Was never going to get a game in front of Nank and Saldo, and not agile enough to play up forward with Lynch.
He was smart to leave, and will be given every chance to make it at Nth
What I do like about CCJ is that he is pretty tough on the field, showed some real aggression at the contest at times, which is always a a good sign in my view. Very good mark, sticky fingers that’s for sure
Just watched his highlights , first time I have seen him. He looks a likely type. You would have thought Richmond would have matched our offer considering Riewoldt only has a few years left. Anyway, hoping CCJ, Nick and the rest of the forwards start to build a good synergy and get us back to where we all want to be , in the Finals and more.
His forward craft seems to be better than Xerri. If we keep Xerri, hopefully he can just focus on playing ruck until Edwards bulks up a bit. C-J seems to be a better forward who can spend some time in the ruck.
The 19 vfl grand final - good example of ccj being important as a ruck
Clunking everything around the ground
You're definitely going to struggle if you go into a game without the necessary dietary intake.Look at how Richmond struggled without lunch in the 2o20 tigers / lions final. Chol exposed badly.
Its probably important to make sure your players have a good diet. Two flags in three years isn't a terrible return from lynch.

Ccj may have been handy that game if not for kebabgate
Actually thats not correctWelcome Callum.
You bashed a bloke whilst eating a souvlaki.
You cost a 2nd rounder.
I reckon you’ll be worth it. Extra garlic sauce for you
Cam Z will play a different role with these giants around him , also the Hornet in his early years will play forward 70-30% (seen play forward for South Adelaide) literally taking the Pi55 out of opposition defenders & don’t rule out our boy Mahoney… he has a lot of ceiling to go stillPretty crazy 6-12 months.
Got rid of Brown because he didn’t suit our game style.
We went in to every round anxious about Larkey lining up on his own and wondering what would happen if he got injured. Talks of McKay, Walker going forward permanently.
Now we’ve got, Larkey, Comben, Edwards and CJ.
Comben, CJ and Larkey all are capable of bringing ball to ground too.
Need some better crummers ASAP
And Phoenix Spicer not far behind either …Cam Z will play a different role with these giants around him , also the Hornet in his early years will play forward 70-30% (seen play forward for South Adelaide) literally taking the Pi55 out of opposition defenders & don’t rule out our boy Mahoney… he has a lot of ceiling to go still
ok serious reply this time. Two flags in three years isn't a terrible return from lynch.
