Would be a worthy captain.
Good call.

Noticed that B Gale pronounced his name with emphasis on the first syllable of his name like NANK-uh-vus. Did chief **** it up or is this how Nank prefers?

Had a great game with only 64% TOG as well
Hopefully the pairing with Soldo can keep him fresh throughout the year

58% in the 19 grand final.

A game I thought the nank / Soldo partnership looked very strong.

Soldo 42%. Looks like Hardwick wants to use the rucks forward more often now (?)

This deserves to be in here, too :) he was a big bad Tank-shaped wrecking-ball last night :)
His frees against are frustrating, but as you said, he goes at the player like a tank out of control, so have to accept the frees. He is just performing his leadership as best he knows how... high intense pressure and tackling - which is what won us 3 premierships. Hopefully can stay injury free!

Has to be in our top 4 ruckman of all time now & I never saw Roy Wright,Michael Greene or captain blood play, although I did see ty esler,Trent knobel & Ben marsh ruck,& for that I feel blessed

Has to be in our top 4 ruckman of all time now
That is a big call. Let's think.

Roy Wright - 2 Brownlows and multiple State jumpers (when that was a big thing). PLayed in a crap side, but was recognised as the best ruckman in the comp. 4 B&Fs. Still holds the record for the largest winning margin in a Brownlow.

Bill Morris - won a Brownlow and Jack Dyer said he was as talented as any player he had seen, but lacked that 'killer' instinct that good rucks have (so Nank has him covered there). Still has a higher average Brownlow votes per game than Dusty (top-10 all time). Only played 100-odd games.

Mark Lee - great player for us - played in 1980 flag and was nearly BOG (seriously, watch the game - he was as good as KB). Won a B&F. Multiple state rep. Club Captain.

Michael Green. BOG in all 3 finals in 1969. Retired after 1971 (age 23), and Carlton beat us in the 72 granny with their rucks Nicholls and Jones starring. GR talked Green into coming back, and we won the next 2 flags.

Neville Crowe - Captain for 4 years, 3 B&Fs. Vied with John Nicholls for the State No 1 ruck position. Would have been a premiership ruckman except for Nicholls taking a dive in the 67 semi.

Perce Bentley - Premiership Captain and Ruckman in 1932. Premiership Captain/Coach and Ruckman in 1934. Captained Victoria. (Maybe disqualified in that after he left Richmond he became a Carlton premiership coach, but let's not talk about that  ).

We've had a lot of great rucks - we've got a lot of history and won 13 flags along the way. Nank is great.
