This is the most placid Gabba pitch that I've seen in a long time. Usually you associate it with bounce and juice, this one looks like a dead road. Guess they got spooked by the green pitch last summer. Batsmen have nothing to complain about.

Behaves a little differently in January too compared to November.

Didn't we play South Africa in mid-December up there?

Anyway with the weather QLD been copping as of late you'd think the pitch wouldn't be so dead on Afternoon 1 of a D/N.

A magic coffee is a double ristretto shot pulled into a 160ml cup or glass and then topped up with steamed milk. It only has a very thin layer of microform on top and the result is something similar to a flat white but stronger.
Thanks. Ill make one tomorrow

The curator maybe under instructions to produce a more placid pitch to make the test last longer.

If it was the usual bouncy seaming Gabba pitch the Windies would probably be about 5 down now.

Curator should've told them to GAGF. Not his fault the batsmen and their techniques are terrible when there is a hint of life on the pitch.

James Brayshaw saying the Windies batsmen problem this series is getting to 20 or so and then getting out.

I think they would take it if they were that successful; most haven't been getting to 20 this series.

Guys, Windies are just ahead of the game here.

They understand Test match cricket is under threat, so by halving Tests to lasting 2.5 days rather than 5, will keep the interest alive!!

Sidenote: Feel sorry for half their team. They're throwing their youth to the wolves here.
