I am with the First Australian people in their bid to change Aussie Day, but... Am I permitted to even air that? Last time I looked we were a nation with freedom of speech.

I've seen a lot of people take up the mantle of GRAND GATEKEEPER OF EXPRESSION and cast blanket statements over the freedom of speech as a whole. They often drive home black or white points about what kind of speech is acceptable and what should or shouldn't offend people. You can still say what you want, but don't expect any real debate on it, you will be cast aside and ostracised before that happens.

As for the Gabba, why knock it down and waste all of that money? It looks great, nothing more than a lick of paint here and there will do for the Olympics. It would be madness to demolish it and rebuild for a two week event!
