Looked cooked 6 weeks ago. Still hasn’t missed a game.

This is genuinely the most impressive aspect for me. He looked ****ed, yet not only did he keep going, he actually elevated his level. ****ing remarkable mental strength and endurance

How much you want to bet that if he wins the rising star, there will be pressure to water down any priority pick package on the basis that we already have the best player in the draft.
It will be weaponised in the narrative.
Nah it actually should be used as a reason we get a first round priority pick

The fact that a first year player can have such a big impact and our best player this year

Get another and we will be more competitive instantly and in the future

Sheezel’s had 12 games of 30 or more disposals, two of which have been 35 or more

As far as rising stars go, Ashcroft has had two 30 or more games (neither were 35+) … and that’s it

As for the rest of the league, looking at players with similar disposal numbers to Sheez:
Tom Green - 13 games of 30 or more (6 of which were 35 or more)
N.Daicos - 12 (8)
Serong - 12 (5)
Parish - 10 (5)
Taranto - 10 (3)
Sinclair - 10 (2)
Treloar - 9 (2)
Neale, Butters, Coniglio - 9 (1)
B.Crouch - 9 (0)
Merrett - 8 (4)
Oliver - 8 (3)
Laird - 8 (2)
Petracca, Dawson - 8 (1)
Brayshaw - 8 (0)
Gulden - 7 (3)
Libba - 7 (2)
Bont - 7 (0)

He deserves every superlative you can think of.
So you are saying that one player in the league has had more games where they got 30 disposals or more, and there is even a debate as to whether he wins the RS??!

The footballing world/media can just go and get f*cked. This is such a no-brainer that the “experts” and journalists are confirming both their bias against North and their idiocy.

The guy should legitimately be making the AA40.

Thank you for finding the data here.

Sheez has me convinced. we have a team that is less than its parts. End to end. He is no Arch snr, Mickey Martian (exept for that Gablet mark), or peek Daw.. we'd never know it tho if the team was better. The players.. ****it im off. Chocky milk time

The numbers clearly speak for themselves and that’s all that should matter. I know I am likely to be bitterly disappointed when Sheezel gets overlooked for Ashcroft just because he plays for us and we have been ordinary.

How many vote?
Will we know who they voted for? eg who Cornes votes for?

How in gods name do the afl have that bloke as a selector given the way he speaks about players?
AFL website says this for weekly selections so I assume it's this crew:

Kevin Sheehan (Chairperson), Nathan Buckley, Jude Bolton, Kane Cornes, and Abbey Holmes.

One of the boundary riders on the weekend commented that "Sheezel will probably win it now since Ashcroft has gone down"

Well *ing spare me. Sheez has had the rising star wrapped up since R1. If he doesn't win it I will riot. Best first year of AFL footy for any player, ever.
It's horseshit. Harry is putting up record breaking numbers for a first year player.

It's ******* undeniable that he wins it. If anyone else says otherwise they are a ******* fruit loop. You simply can't overlook the pure numbers.
Need to send that to the various media outlets/shows to really press his case. Send it to Kane as well to see if you get a response.

Good thing that our opponents kick 30+ behinds every week.
Kormes Doesn't watch us. I watched him closely this week - HS wants the ball all the time. Always thinking how to. You can see his mind ticking. Puts himself into great spots. Shuffles into space. Super smart. And he uses it in really creative ways that we can score from. He stands very comfortably with and above most previous winners of the RS.

2nd highest ranked player on the ground... to Dustin Martin. In his first season. Sky is the limit.

*5th.

According to my Monday emails.

It was Tarryns best game of his career, just eclipsing his game against Carlton in Round 19 2021.

Advanced stat keepers had him by far and away best on ground ahead of Martin and Bolton by a fair bit, with Sheezel some ways behind.

It has been by far Harry’s best 6 week block of his season.

He’s been probably the best half back in the comp statistically the last 6 weeks.

Harry has made a few errors, forced and unforced but what I like is that instead of dropping his head or grinning and accepting the results he follows up with desperation and often wins the ball back. He did that with his first possession. This guy can play and he has the will to win.
