Maybe wait til the season starts, after all it was just a match simulation

Nah. 7 years of watching him is long enough to base my opinion on. To think he once had massive trade currency. AFL were handing out 1st and 2nd rounders like confetti last trade period. I'd take a 3rd round pick for him every day of the week to provide Dow, Ross, Sonsie and Mcauliffe opportunities. Their potential upside could be massive. Old plodder Graham has not just stagnated his trajectory has been downhill ever since 2017 GF. He's dined out on it for way too long.

You'd love him in Adelaide playing for your team Port Power. ;)
FWIW he's supposed to have had his biggest preseason ever with all these great time trials yet he was dragged off his feet and looked no different to last year. So, what or how is a home and away game going to improve him bc the game will be played at a more faster pace? This will make him even slower than the required level IMHO.

JGTI done a few nice things and was solid in the thick of it in the sim, to show he's still got a few tricks..... but the ease at which a few nippy demons just waltzed around him was alarming and costly.

That's exactly JGTI though and you won't get much more unless it's a wet and boggy surface. His biggest issue is his acceleration from a stationary position is so much lower than most and he's left for dead. He needs the ball to practically come within his zone to be effective as that's when he can apply all his pressure acts. The setup with him in the guts in the first 20min was frightening.

Injured again after a big preseason?????? Too top heavy and slow like Hopper and these injuries will continue to arise bc they exert so much strain on their bodies, especially their legs and feet bc they are trying to keep up with the fast modern game.

Jack Graham Injury history

2017 preseason - hamstring tendinitis
2017 - ankle fracture
2018 - dislocated shoulder
2019 - hamstring
2019 - dislocated shoulder.
2021 - Toe injury
2022 - Hamstring
2023 - Toe injury
2024 preseason. - Quad.

What do people expect will happen from here? It's not hard to predict.

I don't think he is a huge loss, I think Jack Ross or Kane Mcauliffe can play his role.
but injuries still suck ofc.

Ross should be on Maccas wing IMO
Mcauliffe would be well served to play Grahams role.

keep telling people Hopper and JGTI are injury prone bc of their heavy bodies..

are you really that stupid or just act it? Gibcus is a completely different type of player and only played a season. These guys are mids and seasoned footballers with as history of injuries longer than your ridiculous posts.lol

6 players missing through injury this week, Broad, Gibcus and Young not thick set. Prestia, Hopper and Graham more strongly built. For some reason the thinner framed players' size has nothing to do with their injuries but the thicker set players are injured due to their frames according to you.

And you think I am stupid...

broad, young and Gibcus have nothing to do with it as they're not runners and aren't doing the kms as the other three and at higher speeds. Do you get it troll? I don't think you're stupid as you do a good job telling everyone on here that you are with your posting.

Your position is ludicrous, there are big bodied and thick set players all over our list and other lists playing in running positions. You have some empirical evidence that thick set players miss more games with injuries when they play in running positions?

the two midfielders that are thick bodied are JGTI and Hopper . name Others that are expected to do the km's and workload? You are nothing, but the forum used car salesman and are in every thread trying to sell your bullshit.

That proves it then, Hopper's knee and Graham's quad injuries are due to their physiques. No other possible explanation.

Let's run through the rest of our list then and see if we can see a pattern....

Baker, thick set, barely an injury.

Bauer, lighter frame, did hammy in pre.

Campbell, light frame, missed most of last year with groin issues?

Coulthard, light frame, hammy in pre.

Gibcus, light frame, 2 shocking leg injuries in 3 years.

Grimes, light frame, repeated hamstrings over career.

Lynch, average to light frame for a kpp, knee, foot and other issues.

Dusty, very solid conformation, only serious injury in 300 odd games was impact related.

McIntosh, light frame, 2 seasons badly impacted by foot and syndesmosis injuries.

Naismith, lighter frame for his height, knees galore.

Nankervis, thicker set ruck, groin, syndesmosis x 2? Can't recll any running related soft tissues or stress injuries.

Prestia, thick set, repeated hamstring issues over the years.

Maurice, thicker set, one hammy and now in 4th year on list?

Ross, thick set, only main injury was impact to the foot.

Short, lighter framed running player, a few niggling soft tissue injuries in recent years.

K Smith, light frame, lost his first season to foot injury.

Vlastuin, thicker set, 1-2 soft tissues max across his career?

Where is the pattern in all of that?
