If Lab was in good nick this is just the sort of track he’d score runs on. Hasn’t looked in good nick for a while though. Hope he can battle his way through it
Was actually just thinking that Labuschagne just left a tight ball in the confident way that he used to do to force the bowlers to bowl to him.

Also, it's days like this that make me wish we had a big bloke batting along the lines of Hayden/Symonds, because you cannot tell me that Ollie Robinson would feel quite so comfortable getting in the batter's way as they run a single with one of them charging at him.
 
Wood has a bland name, but he is better than Tongue action..

However, Wood is very fast (only lasted 4* overs). I was surprised they went with speed over Tongue's endurance. :whistle:

*edited. still, 4 overs does go for about 12-15 minutes of hard (new ball), fast action.:winkv1:

Hayden and Symonds didn't always make runs. Entirely plausible Robinson would get both out. Hoggard got Hayden in England a few times.

The guys from the past weren't infallible
