Don't know why India stuck with Anil Kumble for so long. He only averaged marginally better than Lyon at a marginally worse strike ratewhile playing most of his Tests in India. Clearly not good enough for a Test spinner.

Kumble played 63 of his 132 tests in India, which is less than 50%.

They would have known in advance there was a strong chance of rain across the whole test match. Long term forecasting. Cue the " you can't predict the rain" crowd but in a place like Brisbane you absolutely can. Should have been the first test of the summer not middle of December. Serves them right for poor scheduling.

Not just Arvo storms, rain across the day as well. Today was probably the only day from what I know they could have got most of the days play.
