This looks more like trying to kill two birds with one stone. Impeach Trump and kill Biden's campaign.

You can almost guarantee that the whistleblower will be a progressive activist more aligned with Warren and Sanders.

Classic trolling.

What crime... ?

Crime or not do you not think the conversation for the next while will be what Biden or his son may or may not have done as much as what Trump said. You can't bring up one without the other.

I exist permanently in a heightened state. It's called being smarter than the rest of you.

It's also fair to say I'm right and the low-information, low-cognition muppets attempting to disagree don't know what day it is.
yay it is good to be highly un-neurotic as well but we don't say that either.. we say we are just cantering towards the higher centrality... or something like that

I’m only a part time reader of this thread, but am I correct in saying that you’re anti-Trump and not pro, yes?

The whole thing in 2016 about “Oh, but Hillary isn’t left enough” and “Oh, I don’t like Hillary either” amongst people who hated Trump were contributing factors that led to the whole disaster that is Trump’s presidency.

Hillary, and now Biden, even with their faults, are absolute light years better presidential candidates than Trump. Not even a contest.

If the Democrats can’t fully unite behind its candidate in 2020 without nitpicking over whether they’re squeaky clean, Trump can easily win again.

(Also, the above is just a general comment, not aimed at you specifically - I assume you’re just another Aussie commenting on Trump and US politics on here!)

Progressives will vote for whoever the candidate is this time around.

The issue is that Biden doesn't represent anything that will help the desperate and disillusioned. His attraction is he was there under Obama and Obama was articulate and presidential, and he isn't Trump.

Biden won't stop the GOP running roughshod over the Dems. Corporate Dems are weak, probably because they feed from the same trough as the GOP.

Of course it will be because that is the story Trumpies will want to hear.

I know Trump committed no crime exactly.
Oh! I see what you did! While we were talking about Biden you tried to make it seem like we were talking about Trump!
Genius!!!

Of course it will be because that is the story Trumpies will want to hear.

This was always going to hurt Biden more than Trump.

Mueller made it obviously clear that he was only the figurehead and had very little input the report.

No one is saying he is the partisan one.

"Very little input" lol

Nah, just ran the thing and had to put his name to it. Probably didn't even proof read it :tearsofjoy:

I know, its just inconceivable that the probe opened by Trump's own AG ran professionally and concluded pretty much the result that you guys had been preaching all along :drunk:

I thought this was obvious from how little he knew of its contents.

What will they have that is more concrete? It will also be just be a recollection.

From all accounts all transcripts are done this way.

No idea. Maybe nothing more substantial. Maybe a something along these lines;

WASHINGTON — The intelligence officer who filed a whistle-blower complaint about President Trump’s interactions with the leader of Ukraine raised alarms not only about what the two men said in a phone call, but also about how the White House handled records of the conversation, according to two people briefed on the complaint.
The whistle-blower, moreover, identified multiple White House officials as witnesses to potential presidential misconduct who could corroborate the complaint, the people said — adding that the inspector general for the intelligence community, Michael Atkinson, interviewed witnesses.
Mr. Atkinson eventually concluded that there was reason to believe that the president might have illegally solicited a foreign campaign contribution — and that his potential misconduct created a national security risk, according to a newly disclosed Justice Department memo

Slightly concerning

Waiting for more info just seems the prudent approach.

It was ticked off in July. When the Inspector General referred this to the DOJ. The only part that is old is the part of it being brought to our attention 2 months later. DOJ:
"all relevant components of the department agreed with this legal conclusion: that there was NO violation"

The same whistleblower that the Inspector General declared as having "some sign of an arguable political bias in favour of a rival political candidate". So the "whistleblower" had a bias against Trump. So again we don't see collusion on the part of Trump but the intelligence community and the Democrats AGAIN (like they were doing in 2016). So again, it's not a trump scandal but another democrat scandal to try and remove Trump from office.

Was the whistleblower interviewed and did he give testimony? Honestly asking, I don't know. Post links if thats easier.

The man has no friends. Is that because most people that get to know him are biased, or because he is a d******d??

Not everyone relies on State News for their information on current affairs.

Speaking of the AG when are the Democrats going to impeach him.

They should get onto it. ;)

Who wouldn't want to forget the last 18 months if you'd spent it wading through the details of Trump's life :tearsofjoy:

Seriously though, dude's pretty old and had absolutely no interest in talking publicly about the report even once, let alone twice. He was having a bad day for sure - but then again, Trump has a senior moment and you guys pretend he's doing it for the lulz.

So for all of those that read the transcript where is the:
  • quid pro quo?
  • mention of withholding 391 million?
  • the favour to look into Biden? - The favour from President Zelenskyy is looking into Crowdstrike - a security software company that the democrats had analyse the DNC servers after their emails were leaked - after claiming it was the Russians. But the DNC wouldn't give the servers to the FBI. Crowdstrike previously falsely claimed that the Russians hacked into a Ukranian system so Barr is trying to find out if they falsely hacked into the DNC servers.
"that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, and incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it's very important that you do it if that's possible." - AKA - look into how the entire witch hunt against me (Trump) started.

The funny thing is this all lead to what Pelosi feared before and why she was so apprehensive about proceeding with impeachment inquiries in the past. Trump campaign raised $5 million since the impeachment inquiry started. Galvanising the Republicans.

Bye-bye Biden, hello Warren. She was probably the Whistleblower :$. She'll pick Buttigeg as her VP to maximise her diversity pulling power.

Correct, and the dems going all in on Warren is the reason they will lose. Bernie is far more popular in the rust belt and the places in the US that will decide this election. The places that Warren is popular the dems were going to win anyway. She's basically Obama 2.0 without the black vote or working class vote.
