Can we stop picking all rounders that aren't either in our top 6 batsman or good enough as our 4th bowler......
stop gap until cam green's fit i daresay, though i think this'll be his last test for australia.
 
That Marsh has played nearly 50 Tests is truly remarkable.
Brad Hodge, Martin Love, Stuart Law and Tom Moody played a combined 20 tests between them but Marsh gets over 40 tests to spud it up in.
 
Shaun Marsh was close, averaging 34.

Before that, you'd have to go back to Geoff Marsh averaging 33.
At least Geoff was opening against the power of that mighty Windies team that seemed to be in Australia every year in the 80's.
He and Taylor were a good opening pair.

So, who are you bringing in to replace your dropped Marsh if not Mcsweeney?
It’s Webster if we want an allrounder or Inglis (our allrounders barely get a bowl anyway). Might be risky having Head and Inglis 5 and 6 but can’t be much worse than what we’ve been seeing.
