My mate used to swap hands batting playing indoor cricket in the 90s. He's the original KP if KP had gone on to be an ATO lawyer.
A bloke I used to play cricket with bowled and batted right handed.

Then, after training, he'd be in the bar playing eight-ball left handed.

Why do I need to have been a bouncer? This is sport not a pub or a club. When I played sport you stood up for your teammates full stop and especially one who is playing his first game. Hey but that’s me.
FFS you *******, embracing a person to calm down a situation isn’t being subservient. Quite the reverse.
You don’t have a clue - you don’t charge in and start a melee, like in rugby, acting macho.

Tendulkar is left handed as well, not that you'd know.

When I used to hit drums I discovered I was left handed at that too, despite being right handed for everything else.

I’m with you on this one mate can’t believe he put his arm around him should have been right in his face telling him to feck off. Very disappointing from an Australian player

I loved how in the interview post days play Khawaja had to tell us all how long and how well he has knows Kholi. There are a few exceptions but this Australia team really want to be liked by him.

A few saying it was great leadership to defuse the siituation but I thought it was pathetic. I doubt it was about to escalate any further.

Contraversial call here . That was incredibly entertaining stuff from Konstas but it aint sustainable in the long term. I hope he can adapt because people will be calling for is head if he gets out ramping in other situations.
If we're making controversial calls I'd drop Labaschagne and kahwaja without hesitation it was bad tactics and bad batting which nearly cost momentum.
Sport is all about cashing in when things go your way and those two nearly pissed it away 2nd session
Cummins should've sent head in at 3.

Remember the outcry/outrage in England when Gatting got out doing a reverse sweep
In fairness, it did cost England the WC final, given England were cruising at the time.

Believe me it's worse with (nominally) British players at not only Wimbledon but any shitty tennis tournament you can name.
We called Tim Henman the truck driver because he always went out in semis.

Mate calm down I said Uzman should have got in kohli’s face and told him to feck off that’s not starting a melee that’s standing up for your teammate

I'm right handed, yet for some reason I deal cards left handed. I worked as a bank teller decades ago, and used to count the money left handed too. Strange.

According to Indian cricket fans, Ponting is not allowed an opinion because he had a run-in with Harbhajan Singh 25 years ago. Forget the fact Ponting is now also being paid to give his opinion.
Indian Cricket fans are the biggest hypocrites in sport

As exciting as Konstas was, I just don't rate the method. Love some of the aggressive stuff but the lap sweep stuff will absolutely do me.

Depends if that is the method, or whether that was the method for this particular innings. A pessimistic view would be that he got lucky with those shots, an optimistic view would be that it was a deliberate plan to put both bowlers off their length (which was causing us a lot of problems).

Given he just went out and wanted to face the first ball on Cricket's biggest day I think he will be fine
My comment wasn't about the player himself, it was about the media hype surrounding him.

The media hype is going to take some getting used to.
Water off a ducks back with Sam Dunk, well every other scribe is giving him a nick name. I prefer King Kon. He will now have every kid playing Sat morning community cricket asking their coach if they can use the scoop, ramp or reverse of both.
or whether that was the method for this particular innings.
Yes it was. "another approach, something different is needed'' to bring down Bumrah was the tactic devised by our brains trust and they chose Sam Kontas to implement it.

Anyway bad tactics from India yesterday as well. Need to set a more planned field and look at more than one mode of dismissal
Sticking it outside off and hoping for a nick won't work on this wicket Australia will rack up 500.
Big day for Jaiswal. If he can survive Starc early he could really get off the chain on this wicket.
If they can get 3 down for 175-300 Pant could put them in a winning position in the game last session.
Need to survive Starc somehow. Sharma at 3 is fraught with danger thou
