This is costing us valuable time. Will be harder for us to bat them out of the game now might have to set them 350 2nd innings and risk they get it. Do we risk that or accept a draw?

I think you're a bit ahead of yourself here.

I can see us absolutely shitting ourselves in the second dig and getting rolled.

I believe we're mentally fragile as a side and inclined to panic far too often with the bat.

The thing in our favour here is this really is a featherbed at the moment, and hopefully it starts to die and keep low which will help us if we have enough in the bank. The closer they get here, the less likely that is.

The same with Hayden who thankfully isn't commentating in this test match and had a stint as the Pakistan coach.

No doubt the Pakistan players got sick of him like the Aussie players did with Langer, both are insufferable blowhards.

Our selection of Mitch Marsh reeks of arrogance that we wouldn't need his bowling (because our four bowlers will just get it done) or his batting (because our top order is going so well)

It's very likely they (Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, Lyon) believe they are Australia's greatest bowling combination ever and should never be separated outside injury.

If combined test wickets were the sole criteria then you couldn't argue. However they have all struggled at various times (Cummins less so) particularly with fitness and are getting older. Only Cummins should be an automatic selection (captain or not) given our depth.
