I'm torn with Khawaja. If the next series wasn't in Asia, drop him for sure.
But he made the position his on the slower decks in Pakistan (different to SL, admittedly, much less turn). He might be out of form, or past it, but still useful on slower tracks. Particularly if the options have no experience in Asia. As mentioned by others earlier, Head could go to open again for those games.

I just wonder whether Head is opening in SL regardless

I get it but I’m more in favour of giving someone some cricket at test level to prepare them for the following summer. I don’t see Khawaja contributing much next summer if they keep him around

Just do it
Marsh out, put McSweeney in his spot.
Konstas down to Head’s spot. Blood the future.

Na Konstas and Head opening. Webster at 6 (gives us both spin/quick)

he can argue it, but has no say in the decision. bottom line is if he ran in front of the stumps, from where he was, in that situation, and the throw hit him - it would have been out

They would laugh and say you could have run to the left of the bowler, or the right of the bowler, you are saying you deliberately ran on the protected area of the ground that batsmen aren’t allowed to run on when you had that choice to make, and it wasn’t to obstruct the field?
