It's utterly ridiculous that we go over at the first sign of bad light, but don't play earlier/later for over rates.

Both teams are culpable here, they shouldn't be leaving the field till 7pm minimum.

I would also be in favour of making the day completely overs based rather than time. Lunch at 30 overs in, tea at 60, stumps at 90. Even if you did that and shortened to 80 per day it would work.
