Not sure he is going to build a career as a test opener with the approach he took.
Well done, but Lady Luck was with him today. Just imagine the blowback if he had tickled one of those first ramp attempts through.
Rooster to feather duster can happen pretty quick on test cricket.
But it didn’t, which is all that matters

You are opening the innings for your country. Your aim is to win the test. He’s not at the casino, risking only his own money.

Yep, and he's given us a great opportunity to win the test. Another dire opening stand of 30 runs wouldn't. His dashing play rattled the Indians & let Uzzie get into his own game without having to drive the innings.

Not sure what else you could have wanted.

don't get me wrong, I'd take green over marsh, but greens very ordinary with the willow also.

Have you seen green bowl? He makes Marsh look like a pie chucker from darlinghurst 5th grade.

CAN SOMEONE TELL HARSHA THAT HE’S COMMENTING IN AUSTRALIA AND ITS 5-286 not 286-5 He’s been doing it all series and it’s pissing me off.

He's commentating in Australia but his commentary is going into many countries that put the runs before wickets when giving the score. It's not that big a deal and only q potential source of confusion when the batting side has fewer than 10 runs on the board.

That's impossible to know. Him batting slower and grinding out 30 overs might have forced them to bring bumrah back and then the other top orders bat out the day as he would be too cooked to come back in the 3rd session how he did. Point is tactics matter. He's lucky he didn't get out as idiotically as marnus did or there would be more scrutiny.

If they did, good on them... F$Ck India if they crack the 💩

No chance they kill the golden goose.

Kawaja should also be chewed out for putting his arm around Kohli, instead of telling him to go **** himself.

Bullshit.

Usman did a fine job defusing a volatile situation. India need the incendiary fuel to function. Australia doesn't.

He set a great example to a young player.

Pfft you mean hawk eye or umpires call when he shuffled across forgot about his bat and was caught dead in front those ones? With hawke eye having it bounce a metre over the top to spite hitting the knee roll

yes like I just stated the ones that were clearly missing the stumps

Ah no
Bumrah is a fine bowler but he isn't that level
With all respect

I just had a quick think about a world best XI of the last 40 years alone. So hard to do.

Wasim Akram, Dale Steyn, Glen McGrath, Ambrose, Walsh, Marshall, Bumrah, Donald, Kapil Dev, Broad, Anderson, Hadlee (just), Southee, Botham, Pollock, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan.

Yep, pick three lol.

Yep agree impossible to know. Might have grinded out a long innings & we still have a collapse for stuff all on the board. Who knows. But runs on the board matter & build pressure.
