The pitch is shit. This is the Melbourne of old. Tail enders were looking very comfortable against a newish ball and most wickets thus far have come from batsmen being too aggressive. These are the sorts of games that kill test cricket, when there’s just no contest between bat and ball.
Can’t see it happening with the forecast. Few more days like yesterday and it would’ve been greatThis could easily turn into a spinners paradise don’t right it off Day 2
Did he play ramp shots?First encountered him in u11 reps. He thought everything was about him, he was very talented though.

Watching test cricket among the T20 generation is infuriating.
The pitch is fine, the match is well poised. Jaiswal in particular is batting really well.
I should follow this up by saying I agree with what you're saying. This Test is well poised and Jaiswal is awesome to watch. Just sick of the constant denigration of T20 cricket when it's not relevant on here. "T20 generation" is pretty pretentious phrasing IMO.You know what's worse than people who allow T20 to cloud their judgement of what cricket should look like?
People who need to make everything about Test cricket vs T20 cricket.
Almost… keep trying thoughI feel a wicket coming.
There’s no margin of error on those, as you have exact positions.not even umpires call on the pitching in line feels a bit harsh

Still much prefer the real deal and I'll only watching T20s when the Heat are playing or the World Cup.
