I’m 10 mins (north) distance to the ground and the weather app isn’t predicting rain until 7, reckon we’ll get pretty close to a full day.Maybe. We won't get a full day today though so it's going to make it hard with how much time we give ourselves to bowl them out. Will have to bat pretty quick on day 4.
Or at least stagger the slips, having a player like Smith diving across in front for the one that is dropping short. It’s a strange one for me, because the carry to the keeper has been fine. Still, I reckon both teams need to bring cordon up. Reckon we’ll see a fair bit of uneven bounce coming in the next few days
Nitish Reddy has been batting too low all series. He's been making 40s and running out of partners. If Sundar can stay with him, this innings is a long way from over. The 2nd new ball will be the pivotal moment in the Test match.
Come on, surely he didn't say that!?Wtf is Vaughan smoking to put Jaiswal in his top 3 Indian batsmen of all time?!
Dark as Hades, city side of the GA few passing showers to the south
Credit where it's due. That's a pretty good piece of field placement from Cummins. The whole field in general to Pant.
Sounds pretty close to meI'm going to assume India find their way to 300 after 20 overs and make us bat again.
With a 170 lead we'd have 30ish overs to stretch it to 270 by stumps. With the foot on the accelerator on day 4, 40 more overs to take it to 450 and give ourselves a day and a half to bowl them out again.
Too aggressive? Too conservative?

I would throw Dravid into the mix as well.Fox are having their top 3 Indian batter that you’ve seen.
1. Sachin (by a long way)
2. Sunny (look at his record, was the AB of the Indian team at the time)
3. Mohammed Azharuddin. (Such a classy player to watch especially on the leg side)
Regardless of how many India make, we will not enforce the follow on here. 350-400 ahead would be plenty I think, but most will want 450I'm going to assume India find their way to 300 after 20 overs and make us bat again.

is it really him or the AI version?Gotta love Crash Craddock.
Yeah, I'm unconvinced. When Cummins follows his instincts, he's actually a pretty good tactician. He uses Travis Head pretty well, and he's taken plenty of wickets through nifty field placings - the leg slip/gully trick was one of Michael Clarke's favourites, and Cummins has used it more than once, including to dismiss Akash Deep yesterday.
And although it's a different format, his captaincy during the 2023 WC final was masterful.
He only looks moronic when he rigidly adheres to pre-conceived plans (2023 Ashes, 2023/24 SCG).
