Broad to take warner into retirement with him?
21 wickets from 6 matches is a great returnGeez Murph is as green as it gets as a Test player, but already really solid impact.
Excited for his progression and definitely makes losing Lyon easier to bear knowing this kid is in the wings.
Was surprised that Jimmy didn't give Broad a crack at the spinner. Why didn't Anderson take a single there?
It's not like Broad needs to be protected against a spinner.
Really odd decision from Stokes to not declare overnight. They've added 7 runs in 2 overs for that last wicket. Keeping in mind they lose 2 additional overs due to innings changeover, they have just burned 20 minutes from the game for not much on the scoreboard. Also keeping in mind there is rain forecast later today and Monday.
With this and his late declaration last test, seems he may have overcorrected from his Edgbaston 1st day declaration.
Have you watched the series?England chased big scores several times last year. These pitches haven't broken up. A big century from one, a half centuries and a couple of 40s puts us in the game. Believe.
The change of innings eats up time, the review ate up time, its all going Australia's way for the draw. The longer these plonkers bat, the more chance there is of a draw... they should have declared overnight.
I'd still drop him for the summerNice and quick.
Time to earn your home farewell Davey. Ton up or stay in England.
What if he scores a couple of hundreds in those 3 tests? He might rescind his retirement plans. Can’t risk it.LoL Warner wants to play 3 more Tests at home v Pakistan.. just give them to him.. who cares, Pakistan bowlers in Australia historically suck.
It allows for margin of error of the predictive technology. The umpires call makes no sense to me if it’s hitting the wicket it’s out if not not out
