Needed more from Green, Warner and Labs.
Khawaja only A grader. Smith gets a pass. Head not too bad.

Mate that is everyone.

Remember how big a deal it was when SA won in Australia in 2008? It had been 16 years since any visiting team won in Australia. All other results aside it was a proud record. That it took two freak performances from SA to break that run of results made it an even bigger deal.

Being undefeated against one particular side over a long period is nowhere near as being an effort but it is still a source of pride and considering it’s from 2-0 down why wouldn’t there be a level of desire to preserve that record?

I’ve heard some bizarre analysis of this series but accusing a side of being head-f***ed because they don’t want to give up 22 years of success or parity at home seems particularly so.

Oh, so our ten years of Ashes retention isn't worth a scratch? We're quite happy not to let them celebrate winning the Ashes. Beat them at home and draw away, I'll be happy with that forever. You seem to want it both ways - England should be proud of their unbeaten record, but our run of holding the Ashes for four-in-a-row means less. Marnus was more frustrating than disappointing if that’s a thing. I’d have Green and obviously Warner ahead of him with Marnus on the podium. Boland was very disappointing as well.
