So! Is God Yeah's lead unassailable? Four in the running, one spot up for grabs!

yeah it's looking that way!

Need to try and pick some upsets but with Coll, Xavs and DLS all playing very good footy it's going to make it very hard to pick upsets!

F.Watts is BACKKKK! oh ooooooh!!

Watts will need to play finals in the absence of team leader Nick Stone who apparently is leaving on an overseas holiday with his girlfriend. Great team ethos by Stone.

Will Watts' arthritic ankles stand up to intense football during the finals and the lead-up games?

The expectations from the Lions camp at the start of the year were relatively low. Therefore Watts decided to help out in an Assistant coaching role. It was only once top 2 looked likely that he decided to pull the boots on.

His ankles are no good. 50/50 he will get thru finals.

Not true, ferg was always going to come back at the end of the year as he always has the itch... he broke his finger on the weekend and may require surgery which would force him to miss a few games, his ankle will hold up though

Word out of the Lions Den is the big ferg will only miss a couple which will mean he is cherry ripe to go come finals time, and with the additon of Scott and Strauchan to come back in the side looks in very ominious form come finals time.

Noticed on the website this morning that Marcellin player T Montagna got 6 weeks from the weekend. For memory he got a fairly hefty penalty earlier this year. Can someone confirm this....
Must be a B Grade knuckle head if this is the case....

Yep, spot on.

Collegians have this one in the bag!

I'll have OX, Colls, DLS, UB & SBMT as winners this week.

Montagna might be close to being deregistered due to too mnay weeks suspended in the five year period....I think he got 6-8 very early this year didn't he...there have been a couple of blokes deregistered down Geelong way written up in the Advertiser this year.

Whale...swimming in the Barwon.

SBMT
COLL
UB
OX
DLS

Question to all, with the finals venues being announced and the poor weather we have been having will the home of football be able to hold up to the increased traffic over the next 6-8 weeks. Especially with the premier 3rds playing on EP also.

SBMT - Ben Phibbs straight back in, few people not happy that the selection criteria is not consistent at all
COLL - in a canter
UB - back on the winners list
OX - monty
DLS - monty

BIG SHOW - Montagna got 8 the first time after he was dobbed in by Brighton for a head high tackle that unfortunately injured the Brighton player - interesting that the umpire was 2m away and only paid a free and that no Brighton players remonstrated - very unlucky. Given that he pleaded guilty to this weeks charge but had to front, he was given a minimum of four (instead of the prescribed 2) for attending the tribunal + 2 for a previous charge.

He may not be innocent but is very unlucky and is a quality person.
