Will work very well with Walsh. Puts a lot of pressure on Dow now, especially with Hewett also.
SPS is right to move. He will be 8th in line for a midfield spot.

Pick 6 (8) and maybe a swap of third and fourths if we're feeling kind or walk him through the national draft.
Walk him through the national draft to Norf or the Hawks?
North and Hawks aren't picking him in the ND or they would have already been in the conversation.Walk him through the national draft to Norf or the Hawks?
It’s interesting seeing what the various media outlets think will be the gist of the deal, nothing more than that though (and I’ve been guilty of being reactionary to them in the past)I think we will hand over something on top of pick 6, and Jon Ralph makes valid points in the article.
But it does seem to be written in the vein of 'Here are my many arguments for why Carlton should pay more than pick 6 for Cerra'. Which is an unusual article to write, is it not?
I don't really buy the media bias thing, but this kind of feels like it was ghost written by Peter Bell and David Walls.
TL;DR - article is in West Australian, so I guess the angle makes sense.
Dumb Carlton coaches would have turned Cerra into a Dow.My vague recollection of that draft was Paddy Dow was very highly rated by most. Just hasnt progressed as most thought.
I haven’t added Doc to any best 22 I’ve tinkered with the last couple weeks, just want him to be ok for now, that’ll do meDoch used to get his hands on plenty too!
Good to get another classy midfielder to the club.
In terms of a deal, SOS said it perfectly on trade radio. Offer pick 6 alone, and wait for Freo to accept. If they don’t then we take him at Pick 6 in the National draft. No chance Hawthorn or North pick him up in the National draft.
If we give up anything further beyond steak knives, then we are pushovers.
This sort of ridiculous post is exactly why people here have no idea how to value a player...
SPS was a top 6 pick with 5 years development and the ability to ride bulls. One top 5 pick is not even close to enough.
Umm ... SOS did make that exact trade and was the one receiving the pick 7. Great trade for SOS.Yeah SOS would of traded pick 7 for Kristen Jacksch, Mark whiley and Blaine Bokehurst
Austin has done a pretty good job so far

Best thing I’ve read in a while. Thank you!2nd rounder get's it done. If we get bent over, I will be sending an extremely terse letter to the Club.
if Freo hold their ground, we walk him to the PSD and focus our effots on The Bont with the top 5 pick we get for SPS.
construction currently ongoing to build an overflow structure out back of the temple of should..........Should've drafted Cerra in the first place.........was always going to be a more naturally complete footballer than Dow.
There's a bit of a difference between negotiating a first round pick for the player and him dropping into your lap though.North and Hawks aren't picking him in the ND or they would have already been in the conversation.
SPS upside is ridiculous. The question isn't whether he has an upside it's whether he'll actually get there.
SPS has not got the upside that Cerra has:
