If we do, then hopefully their Preliminary Final will be played on the Saturday the 22nd of September (my birthday) - and what an awesome birthday present that would be, to be there to see the Crows win their way through to the Grand Final.

I think even if he loses the apeal he still gets 1 game, so from Grundy's perspective he has nothing to lose.

If Stevie sits out I can't see how Grundy can't. Grundy was deliberately trying to inflict damage to the head with an elbow ffs. Stevie was just trying to knock an opponent off balance and just got lucky/unlucky with how effective he was.

Once again the AFL deny us prime time slot to grow our brand and promote our sponsors. Surely the two QFs should get the prime nighttime slots and the EFs the arvo slots. A Saturday night final would have been awesome, not to be sadly.

I think the likely reason is the Rugby Union international at Subiaco on Saturday night. The general rule is that QF's precede EFs so the higher team is never penalised with a shorter break between the QF and the SF. But the rugby at Subiaco forced the Eagles EF to Sunday so for the Crows QF to precede the Geelong EF, it had to be Saturday arvo.

If we were to win and 'host' a prelim, either hawks/pies will be 'hosting' the other one in Melbourne. Given that our prelim would be here in SA, comsidering we would have to travel for the gf I would say we would get the Fri prelim.
