No matter what the AFL does would not avoid this. Adelaide has nothing to play for as they are already first and remaining first regardless of the result. It would make sense to play bruise free footy.. why would they risk injuries on a dead rubber game to them.

Oh I don't blame Adelaide at all. It's just a change that was implemented to stop something which hadn't worked, so it makes me question the said change
