Not even close. The game was hardly called fairly. Richmond choked by the umps and were still good enough to fight it out. Brisbane don't look good enough without the help.
Um what?

What a match. Lions finally snap the hoodoo at the gabby after 16 years, and what a game to do it. Instantly reminded of when we beat Geelong and went on to win flags.

Deflated we couldn't win, but glad our defeat was the hands of the Lions. Makes next week for us extremely exciting.

Go Queenslander! Go Tiges!

Port, Richmond and Brisbane clearly better than the rest, as much as it pains me to say it.

Guarantees at least one really good prelim you'd think. Port v Richmond in Adelaide would be epic.

Well done Lions, cracking game!

Shows you just how well you have to play to beat Richmond though, and how many things have to go your way. Like it or not Richmond are the benchmark.
Commiserations Tiges.

This is what I don't get, everyone seems to think this Richmond team is so good you have to perform miracles to beat them. As good as they are and they are sublime, one little chink in their system - expose it, like what Bris did then you can win.

Whichever way you boil it down and dissect it Richmond do not have THE best list in this comp, one would argue that wc and giants do. Their list is very very good but it does not rely on personnel - it's their system you have to beat.

It's what Collingwood relied on in 2018 to get as far as they did, no one would argue they had the best list that year, was very very good but not the best and since that GF they've been exposed because the opp has worked out their system.

Hopefully this is a sign and the dogs or the saints can expose them next week.
