I agree, and don't even care that my team lost. I've been denying and repressing the fact that this game simply is not adjudicated correctly on so many levels for far too long. There is just far too greater scope for differing evaluations and interpretations, coupled with rules that were farcically constructed to begin with. I don't even blame the umpires, but more direct my contempt towards the travesty that is the AFL as a corporate body. So, when are the AFL fixing this umpiring?
When it costs someone a finals spot?.....
When it costs someone a final?....
When does it stop?
The standard of umpiring is simply unacceptable for a professional sport.
These commentators and media people should not be celebrating a good carlton win. That horrible decision should be magnified & ridiculed. Instead, it will be brushed under the rug.
Imagine if the police in America were as incompetent as AFL umpires... there would be a lot more dead people.
Defund the police? Defund the Umpires.
Yeah, if anything, the kick should've gone back to where the infringement was made. The rules state the free kick can’t be downfield if the ball goes out of bounds. It wasn’t just a bad decision, it was completely against the rules.

I'm not sure. Usually, the umps at least try to seem impartial. Ump was clearly looking to find a free - when there wasn't one, he made one up.Not really, just more of the same. Disgraceful cheating effort.
Where did you find that? The rules state the free kick can’t be downfield if the ball goes out of bounds. It wasn’t just a bad decision, it was completely against the rules.
How good does it feel now man ..ha ha ha love it !!
There's plenty of horrible decisions in every game that can happen at anytime. Just because this resulted in a shot at goal after the siren why is it any worse than any other terrible decision and deserve more scrutiny? So, when are the AFL fixing this umpiring?

Fixed it for ya.Freo only have a horrible free-kick against them in the last minute to blame.
But then they’ll lose their media accreditations. It’s an absolute racket and needs to change.Commentators need to stop the weasel words and say it straight up...it was not a down field free and due to a wrong umpiring decision, the wrong team won. And then put the torch on the AFL and the dogsh#t umpiring this year.
He did launch himself forward off the ground and cannoned into Docherty. You can't do thatI don't know what Brayshaw was suppose to do in midair...
Made up for it tonight though. We can’t always be perennially kissed on our d*cks like west coke eagles at their home ground.
Mate, give them a break. The umpiring 100% had farrrr too much impact on the game. They got so much wrong and the last decision was no exception.
We were on the shitty, raw end of it last week... have some humility.
