Didn't see Richmond attempting to man up the spare and force a move. They were more than happy to sit one or two back themselves. Yeah we weren't great but we had the youngest side in the league today and relative short people running around. Despite injuries, Richmond had many more senior players playing. Don't pretend like this was one side.
Yep this was a 2way shitfest

It was a ****fest from both sides, sure. The problem is that this is what Sydney serve up each week. Horrible to watch.

They are all Shills for ch7.

all sheep scared of having an actual opinion.

Didn't Hodge and Bartel grow up as Richmond supporters?
I swear when Hodge was interviewing Jack at one point he asked "what do WE have to do to win it from here"

Agree both teams were coached terribly. The game is actually ruined.
Many supporters on hear having pot shots at Richmond but I honestly haven't seen much exciting footy from any side besides Port Power & Essendon in patches.

Rubbish. Last week against WCE we attempted to play a fast, rebounding style of play for the four quarters. We didn't have the skills to continue it for four quarters and got overrun because we tried to stick with it.

Will never improve while they continue to try to artificially speed up the game by tiring the players out. Remove the interchange cap and you will see the game improve.

Richmond kicked three in the first ten minutes and Longmire saw the writing on the wall. Disappointing he didn’t take the opportunity to teach his young team about football and chose to protect the scoreboard. No reasonable person expects Sydney to play finals this year.
Richmond are more to blame by flooding Sydney's fwd line, hence why Sydneyhad to play that style. I reckon Sydney wins if it didn't rain.

Absolute crap. The game was off to a bright start before Sydney put the whole team in the back half from late in the first quarter.

Neutrals actually watched this

Sydney played ultra defensive horse shit
Richmond didn’t get out of second gear and still looked disinterested in the year

An awful game of footy

I have to agree

Richmond could be accused of a lack of urgency but Sydney were slogging around unfortunately

So Sydney can't do it but Richmond can?

Richmond had four players in a line across the centre and at least maintained some sort of structure. Sydney couldn't get it past them because they were all too deep, and didn't have quick enough runners to kick the ball over the top.

The facts are 4 goals in 14 minutes, 3 goals in the next 75. The handbrake went on and it was classic Carlton-under-Bolton footy. And the rain didn't help things.

Not sure whether it still happens if Kennedy doesn't go down early. Hardwick was clearly disgusted.

Sydney won’t do **** until they move horse on. That negative football rubbish is horrible and everything wrong with the game at the moment.
Sydney has done plenty with Longmire actually. Since he has been an assistant coach in 2002 and head coach in 2011 he has overseen 5 grand finals and 2 premierships. Pretty sure the same things were said about Hardwick at the end of 2016 when we beat you guys by 100 points. Richmond went on to win 2 of the next 3 premierships.

Lack of preparation, development of players and a much more spread out talent pool creating a situation with not as many ready made AFL players is the reason for the lesser quality of football, not John Longmire.
