Dogs. Been in their corner all year and think their midfield depth will overwhelm the Dees, irrespective of how good Oliver and Petracca are- and they are very, very good.

Was thinking it at the time but am more convinced now- maybe they got something horribly wrong with their training regimen, loaded a bit thinking they were headed top 4 to unload finals and were very flat in the last few rounds. Pulled it back in the nick of time and are firing now.

Club needs a flag. Like Geelong needed one in 07, Richmond in 17. This will set Melbourne up for a big 4-5 years. A flag turns around everything. Biggest test for Goodwin. Maybe I am being harsh, but I really want to see it and have spent so long going along and watching the club disappoint that it’s become ingrained.

Our outside mids aren't as dynamic/explosive as yours, but they (Gus, Langdon, Jordon) are very good defensively.

Agreed. Against Brisbane, Melbourne scored 8.5 from midfield intercept possessions and defended our midfield push well.

Melbourne's second half against us in round 12 was probably the best footy I've seen played this year. If they bring that, I don't think the Dogs can go with them.

Will be cheering on Melbourne as I think it would be great to see Neale Daniher celebrate a premiership.
