Freo finally beat a team above them!

There's only been 2-3 above them for about 6 rounds. But, sure. This is not insignificant... To take a top 4 scalp, and one that will make the competition and media take notice again we are a contender. All this without Fyfe and with a WA covid climate. A win in Geelong. And vs Melbourne at MCG where we barely play once or twice a year... Insane, really. We could be 10-1 if we "didn't get ahead of ourselves"

Nah. It make no sense to retrospectively downgrade the Geelong win because of what happened after it while inflating this win just because you don't know the future yet.

The Geelong final was our best ever win and will probably stay that way until we win a grand final.

That fair enough take on it, but there no time like the present. They done **** all in their history so as an outsider this win impressed me the most of any of their wins in their history. Hopefully one day you will have something much better to pick from.

What that shows is there depth isn't as good as they say it is. You lose May out of the structure and it seemed to fall apart. Using 2-3 injuries as an excuse justifies that.

Where were the Melbourne supporters ?. They were very quiet.

I was there, the walk back to Flinders street station was actually quite funny with some of the Freo supporters banter. They were pretty vocal and loose, is this typical for Freo supporters?

Freo fans are on first name terms with the cardiac specialists, so many up and downs.

Freo ( the city ), is very arty farty , so maybe their supporters mirror this.

Melbourne found out their run of only playing bottom ladder teams to begin the season is over.

Game has gone past viney. Sad to see. A true champion of the mfc.
